Can pick whatever formation you want and no limit on players...

Mine :)

.........................Foster.....................

Finnan....Carragher...Carvalho....Evra (don't want to pick him but no left-back has really done much)

......Fabregas....Scholes....Essien.......

Ronaldo....................................Giggs

.................Berbatov..................

Controversial in leaving out Drogba, I know. But Berbatov has been truly outstanding this season.

GK James / Foster (Can't decide. Both outstanding)

RB Shorey

CB Vidic

CB Carvalho

LB Riise (I know he's not played in that position much but Evra is the next best bet and he's played less than 20 games!)

RW Ronaldo

CM Essien

CM Scholes

LW Milner/Giggs (Again both have done a hell of a lot for their clubs this season)

ST Drogba

ST Berbatov

GK - James

RB - Chimbonda

LB - Evra

CB - Carvalho

CB - Dawson (will probably get some stick here but he has been a colossus for us this season in the absence of king)

LM - Giggs

RM - Ronaldo

CM - Essien

CM - Scholes

CF - Drogba

CF - Berbatov

As much as I like Tottenham and love Dawson (I still have my Forest shirt with his name on the back) thier inability to keep a clean sheet for the majority of the season made their defenders have less of a chance. He really is a great player though. With a bit of luck he could become England regular with Terry. I hope you don't sell Berbatov in the summer. Would love to see you mount a challenge for the top 4 again. Jol is a decent manager and you have the squad but I think only playing 40 games last season to playing around 60 certainly had an effect...
You put FAW ahead of Drogba etc ? :o :o :o

He is not even your top scorer lol Yakubu is

Both have 16 for the season ;)

Dawson for me has been our best player aside from Berbatov this season, has almost carried the defence singlehandedly in the absence of King and I can only think of around 3 errors from him that lead to goals whereas by contrast Robinson has been an unmitigated disaster most of the season and has been responsible for a huge number of goals, I think it is Dawson's brilliance that has prevented us from being around where Newcastle are.

I am quite confident about next season, I think a resurgent Newcastle will be a big threat but I think with 3 quality signings this summer we could push Arsenal close next season :) Berbs' agent has been on 5 Live tonight saying he is staying so hopefully he will

Jol makes some tactical blunders at times but unless Ramos or Mourinho or Hitzfeld or one of the absolute A list managers expresses an interest in the job then I would keep Jol

Next season I think Newcastle, Spurs and Villa will be the three on the heels of the "big four".

The amount of people picking Gerrard must have watched Liverpool's matches with a blindfold on.

Newcastle and Aston Villa have avergae squas at BEST.

But I do agree Spurs willl be stronger, they still won't come within 10 points of the top 4 though..

I think now Martin O Neill has had a season to get into the role and a big kitty in the summer will bring them the success. Newcastle only need a couple of defenders who can actually play to go with Taylor. With a bit of injury luck they'll go top 7. If they get Big Sam then it's for definite. Bolton's squad is only really average but he's a brilliant manager and has taken them to regular top 8 finishes.

Aston Villa will be a real force next season.

Decent manager, fresh squad of youngsters with sh*tloads of potential, reasonable financial backing and ability to bring in semi-big names (i.e. Carew). The formula's all there.

Same with Newcasle providing Big Sam DOES go there.

If City get (?) a good manager and sort out their 'confidence issues' then there's no reason why they can't be up there as well within the next 2 seasons. Their squad at PRESENT is really solid ...

If Rooney didn't have his off form phase he would have challenged with the strikers too but there's always next season :D
