it's due to the whole 'which is the biggest selling female ever' argument. ;) You simply would not believe the amount fo threads with massive arguements there have been about it, both on here, CC and especially UKMIX., :lol:

She has sold much more. Believe me, after reading threads in UKMIX for the past year, it is more than clear by the experts that Madge has sold 180m albums, while Mariah has sold 145m. However, their record company's inflate things hugely, like Madges claiaming she has sold 210m, with Mariah's saying 160 or 170m. But the reason there is the arguments is because Mariah has been given awards from the World Music Awards for being the best selling ever, however considering the same award show recently claims Jacko's Thriller sold 104m, it is clearly not reliable. :lol:

 

They are both near the same in the US, Mariah a million ahead I think. But Mariah's last album sold way more there than Madges due to R&B being so huge in the US, and pop not so much. Barbra Streisand is bigger than both in the US though. -_- Speaking of which, she has had to cancel her first European gig due to a protest over the price. :huh:

I am a fan of Madonna's earlier material. I'm not too struck by her recent material. I based my judgement on the period when both of them were active. I enjoyed more of Robbie's material than Madonna's in that period.

 

Tim (ex co-mod of Mariah forum) was also a Madonna fan by the way. ;)

Madge and Kylie are my favourite female artists, I just couldn't choose between them, so I opted for Madonna, on a flip of a coin. :lol:
