Both teams looked drained and like they couldn't really be bothered. Chelsea's goal though as good. Though if Van Der Saar didn't hesitate before making his decision to come off his line, I think he might have done enough to put Drogba off.

Christ, even the Highlights of this game were utterly fukkin' tedious... <_< I can't imagine how disappointed folks who paid god knows how much for a ticket must've felt... Incredibly cheated I would imagine... All the hype, all the anticipation for a total dud..... One moment of admittedly pretty exquisite skill can't make up for the almost two hours of absolute tedium that went before....

Disappointing.. if it wasn't for Essien though we would have been 3-0 up so he was definitely the man of the match for me. Another thing that made it frustrating was how Wayne Rooney seemed to want to win the cup on his own, there were two opportunities he had when he was offside and had a shot anyway and missed and there was one time when he had someone in the middle but decided to go it alone!

I understand all the criticism but football is about RESULTS and Chelsea played PERFECTLY to get their result. They were spot on tactically, played to their strengths and prevented United playing to theirs. It wasn't pretty but I doubt they or their fans care. They've won the FA Cup!

Still I wonder if Man Utd are regret selling Ruud Van Nisterooy who scored his 25th La Liga goal for Real Madrid tonight in 30 La Liga appearances.

 

But of course he now has the likes of David Beckham supplying him with precision crosses.

He had two safe hands on it and Giggs moved him over the line. It was the correct decision to not give a goal.

But if the same thing had have happened in the air the ref would've blown up straight away. It was a definite foul!
