May 19, 200718 yr Author Well what an AWFUL game. Both teams looked drained and like they couldn't really be bothered. Chelsea's goal though as good. Though if Van Der Saar didn't hesitate before making his decision to come off his line, I think he might have done enough to put Drogba off. Was hoping it would go to penalties, but alas it didn't. :(
May 19, 200718 yr So... was that a goal, or just Giggs fouling the gollie by pushing him over the line? I'm gonna be controversial :kink: and say yes, Cech didn't have full control of the ball, Giggs was entitiled to go for it, and it clearly went over the line <_< Yeah, like the commentators said "We can build an £800 million stadium but we can't grow grass" and we still have cheap advertising boards  why couldn't they have electric ones
May 19, 200718 yr I watched this and the Blackpool Vs Oldham match and Bloomfield Road was far more interesting -_-
May 19, 200718 yr I spoke to a relative that was the second have and throught it was a good game! Guess it was just the first half that was slow? Also according to the same source Chaelsea deserved to win and Man United was cheating a little.
May 20, 200718 yr Christ, even the Highlights of this game were utterly fukkin' tedious... <_< I can't imagine how disappointed folks who paid god knows how much for a ticket must've felt... Incredibly cheated I would imagine... All the hype, all the anticipation for a total dud..... One moment of admittedly pretty exquisite skill can't make up for the almost two hours of absolute tedium that went before....
May 20, 200718 yr      Disappointing.. if it wasn't for Essien though we would have been 3-0 up so he was definitely the man of the match for me. Another thing that made it frustrating was how Wayne Rooney seemed to want to win the cup on his own, there were two opportunities he had when he was offside and had a shot anyway and missed and there was one time when he had someone in the middle but decided to go it alone!
May 20, 200718 yr Who was actually awarded official man of the match? Wayne Rooney. Who I felt deserved it.

May 20, 200718 yr I understand all the criticism but football is about RESULTS and Chelsea played PERFECTLY to get their result. They were spot on tactically, played to their strengths and prevented United playing to theirs. It wasn't pretty but I doubt they or their fans care. They've won the FA Cup!
May 20, 200718 yr Still I wonder if Man Utd are regret selling Ruud Van Nisterooy who scored his 25th La Liga goal for Real Madrid tonight in 30 La Liga appearances. But of course he now has the likes of David Beckham supplying him with precision crosses. Golden Balls tonight set up the winning goal in the 3rd minute of injury time for Roberto Carlos to score the winner (2-3) and keep up Real Madrid's fantastic run of 39 Points from their last 14 Games. They remain on top with 3 Games remaining. Am I the only person watching La Liga here on Sky Sports. Because at the moment on David Beckham's current form he is playing like the best English player in the World at the moment. But you can bet your house that Steve McClown will not select him for his next squad.
May 20, 200718 yr However good he plays unfortunetly i can't see him ever playing for England again aslong as Mclaren stays...
May 21, 200718 yr I don't think either of them deserved to win, it should have gone to Penalties! And, I have to admit, it was a goal for Man U- Cech was clearly over the line. It wasn't a foul. Rubbish game though!
May 21, 200718 yr Of course it was a foul! You can barely touch a keeper in the area and he clearly did. You can't kick the ball out of a keepers hands if he has two hands on it. Which was pretty much what happened. He had two safe hands on it and Giggs moved him over the line. It was the correct decision to not give a goal.
May 21, 200718 yr everytime Man U lose i always rub it in my mates' faces and then they remind me of ronaldo crying and i just walk away

It was a definite foul!
May 21, 200718 yr in the air is a different kettle of fish though, and I'd be impressed if Giggs could slide in the air :P
