Posted May 20, 200718 yr Well, entered at Number 1 on downloads today, 2 weeks before the physical single is out! :o So how long will Umbrella be Number 1 for?
May 20, 200718 yr 4 weeks, 6 weeks is being way too optimistic and I honestly dont think any song will ever be that big again, with charity records or X factor winners possibly excepted.
May 20, 200718 yr Gnarls Barkley managed 9. I think Rihanna could easily do about 6/7 if the physical is big enough. Only Take That could stop her tbh.

May 20, 200718 yr Of course its possible to get 6 weeks + at #01 still, why wouldn't it be? It just requires the large type of impact song that "Umbrella" is...
May 20, 200718 yr 6 weeks I say, first song to enter #1 on downloads since Gnarls Barkley and that spent 9...

May 20, 200718 yr 3 Weeks It will be be #1 next week and then the week after... After that it will fall I reckon..
May 20, 200718 yr Rihanna will hold on next week & will hold on for a 3rd week when the Physical single is released, but afterwards......... These are the potential challengers to the #1 spot: 4th Jun Chemical Brothers (feat Ali Love) – Do It Again Rihanna will hang on = 4 weeks 11th Jun Enrique Iglesias – Do You Know (Ping Pong Song) Kelly Clarkson – Never Again Take That – I’d Wait For Life White Stripes - Icky Thump I reckon Take That or The White Stripes could pinch it. 18th Jun Editors – Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors Gwen Stefani – 4 In The Morning I can't see Gwen managing it, but the Editors - you never know. 25th Jun Bon Jovi - (You Want To) Make A Memory. With the Bon Jovi fanbase, they could record 200 seconds of the band farting and the lead single from a new album would be a guaranteed Top 5 Hit. 2nd Jul Nothing good enough is out. 9th Jul Nothing Good enough is out. Potentially if Rihanna can survive the week of June 11th, then she could spend a couple of months at #1, unless something new & exciting enters the New Release Schedules. However, I think the Take That fan base will stop Rihanna at 4 weeks providing Take That with their 11th #1 Hit single,
May 20, 200718 yr Some shocking early releases there from Gwen and Enrique. Neither songs have started to get played on Radio's, and only Enrique's video was added this week, no sign of Gwen.

May 20, 200718 yr 13 weeks We're talking the UK here, only the USA would have it number one for that ridiculous amount of time
