Also oasis piss over blur live.

 

when your at an oasis gig it goes wild and people are having it. But at a blur gig mostly all of the people watching are chin stroking.

Or...how can you compare a band that gave us the excruciatingly awful "Little By Little" to one that gave us the majestic "Song 2"?

Good point but you could've picked a single worse than Little by little. It's a good tune imo :) Who feels love would've fitted better ;)

 

The way i see it is none of Blur's albums came even remotly as great as Definatly maybe or Morning glory. They are 2 of the greatest album of all time in my opinion. That was over 10 years ago. Yes you could say Oasis's 3 album like Be here now (although it's FAR better than it's made out to be ;) ), Standing on the shoulders and heathen chemistry were a let down but their last album was undoubtably their best in a decade and is one of the best album of last year imo. Blur's last album (Think thank) was unbelievably dissapointing and was a million times worse than any album Oasis have released.

 

So in my opinion judging by their debuts albums and their last albums respectivly, Oasis are FAR superir to Blur and as a previous poster pointed out, Blur are very dull live :rolleyes: whereas Oasis are fantastic :D

 

Saying that, i did love Blur but they just don't have enough truely great songs for me to rate them in the same league as Oasis ^_^

Oasis by a mile. Blur don't even have a handful of classic songs whereas Oasis of albums full of them.

Well, true "Lyla" is rubbish...but I still think "Little By Little" is the worst Oasis single...course that's just my opinion.

 

I've actually seen Blur and Oasis live, both were rubbish, but Oasis were mind-numbing...but that was SOTSOG era when they were useless...everyone else around me was looking at their watches half the time too.

 

Yep, the album last year was a minor improvement and "Think Tank" does suck, so your 1st and last LPs argument holds some water...but "Modern Life is Rubbish" is a much better second album than "Morning Glory", "Parklife" completely and utterly destroys "Be Here Now" (it IS as bad as they say), "Great Escape" and "SOTSOG" are both awful, awful records, "Blur" is a million times better than "Heathen Chemistry" and for the sake of completism let's compare "13" to "The Masterplan"...probably a tie.

 

So I'm sticking with Blur :D

Are Blur still going then? If they are, I'm not aware of any recent songs :unsure:

 

I wouldn't call either of them/their songs rubbish, some of the songs some people have referred to as rubbish I really liked anyway, just personal opinion that though. I've like stuff by both groups, but Oasis have had many more songs that I really like (and am aware of) - so it has to be Oasis for me :D

 

 

Bollocks does it. Both bands were at their peak in 1994.
