Arctic Monkeys are releasing a 7” white vinyl on 18th June, featuring 'Da Frame 2R’ and ‘Matador’; 2 brand new tracks previously available only on the Japanese edition of their Favourite Worst Nightmare album.

 

Yeah this is a limited release, only 1,000 copies or something and I think the majority have already been snapped up on pre-order.

 

I'm glad this is just being released as a limited release though, because they're quite poor tracks to be honest, especially Matador.

I think Da Frame 2R is a LOT better. Matador's just really instruments and no vocals, so i'm not too keen on it. :lol:

I dunno. :lol: I just don't like Matador alot because it bores. :lol: It's got no real lyrics in it so it doesn't really attract me to the track.

Mine's just arrived, very nice as well. Bizarrely, it has a small pic of the lads in a rowing boat :lol: Anyway, as this doesn't appear to be quite as limited as Domino at first suggested, this could go Top 20 next week, lol. Especially given the very poor singles sales in the charts atm. Would be pretty funny, eh?

Well, I know Domino sales are chart-eligible, HMV would appear to be sold out (no idea how many they had), and IIRC the number 2 single last week sold less than 10,000 copies? Time will tell...

Yeah I guess time will tell, I mean, I don't think it will do too well chart wise, but that was never the attention of this release; it was just something for the fans and such, so if it charts in the Top75 or anything it's an added bonus. ^_^

Several copies in my local HMV today so, if it is limited, it's definitely more than 1000.

I hear it has no barcode, so forget about the charts....

It'd be interesting to see how much this sells overall, but I don't think Music Week will mention it, a bit like the Who The f*** Are Arctic Monkeys EP.
