Posted April 23, 200619 yr Here we go again! ALBUMS 2. Gnarles Barkley 4. Bruce Springsteen 14. Jamie Foxx 16. Rihanna 28. Mark Knopfler/Emmylou Harris 31. Juanes 36. Nerina Pallot :cheer: 40. Taking Back Sunday I'm not sure if Gnarles will be able to knock Shayne off the top. I think Rihanna might go top 10 with this album. SINGLES 1. Arctic Monkeys EP 4. Raconteurs 5. Dirty Pretty Things 6. Snow Patrol 7. Chicane and Tom Jones 8. Will Young 10.Jacko 12. Chris Brown I think Snow Patrol will end up in the top 5, as might Chicane. I don't think Raconteurs will be so high, and Dirty pretty things will probably be lower top 10. The arctic monkeys ep isn't chart eligible, is it?
April 23, 200619 yr Chicane being stocked :cheer: But no Groovefinders or Ultrabeat :( Don't think Arctic Monkey's is chart eligible but Woolies right to stock it as it's gonna sell loads. :D
April 23, 200619 yr Interesting Arctic Monkeys is NCQ, and Raconteurs will be slightly lower, otherwise it looks spot on, apart from Jacko
April 23, 200619 yr Author Interesting Arctic Monkeys is NCQ, and Raconteurs will be slightly lower, otherwise it looks spot on, apart from Jacko Is it definitely NCQ cos I'm confused with the rules for maxis now - is it that it can only have 3 songs, not 4? And no Nina Simone which surprised me a bit!
April 23, 200619 yr Is it definitely NCQ cos I'm confused with the rules for maxis now - is it that it can only have 3 songs, not 4? And no Nina Simone which surprised me a bit! Nina will be Top 20 for sure And aas for the AM EP, it can only have 3 tracks for it to be chart eligible, the rules still remain very vague to me
April 23, 200619 yr I actually prefer the Raconteurs single to Jack White's full-time band the White Stripes. It's the Dirty Pretty Things sales that are going to be interesting because with the NME/ex-Libertines crowd gives it the potential to easily sell 30,000. But it may well struggle to only sell half that. If you want to predict the Top10 Singles & Albums sales for next week then click on the Predicta Game link below.
April 23, 200619 yr Dirty Pretty Things almost made the top 40 on downloads so I reckon low top ten (based on similar chart runs for Ordinary Boys, Kaiser Chiefs, Joey Nego which climbed #9, 10 and 11 from around the bottom of the top 40). Never heard of the Raconteurs before. Could make the top ten as all the 'Satan' singles did.
April 23, 200619 yr Author Is Nerina Pallot being re-released, or just a climber with all the exposure? Re-released. It was only on low key release until now - this is the full release going to all the main retailers and supermarkets. Different cover and different versions of 4 of the songs!
April 23, 200619 yr Re-released. It was only on low key release until now - this is the full release going to all the main retailers and supermarkets. Different cover and different versions of 4 of the songs! I spotted it in HMV the other day (albums/singles out in Ireland on Friday) with a load of stock and was wondering alright
April 23, 200619 yr 4. Bruce Springsteen why is this out as a dueldisc and a cd/dvd set? if a dueldisc is cd on one side and dvd on the other, wont they be the same?
April 23, 200619 yr Re-released. It was only on low key release until now - this is the full release going to all the main retailers and supermarkets. Different cover and different versions of 4 of the songs! it was originally out on her own label independently Idaho and now its coming out via a major sublabel Warner's 14th Floor
April 23, 200619 yr I actually prefer the Raconteurs single to Jack White's full-time band the White Stripes. they are better down under where they called The Saboteurs. think thats a btter name
April 23, 200619 yr Nina will be Top 20 for sure And aas for the AM EP, it can only have 3 tracks for it to be chart eligible, the rules still remain very vague to me its got 5
April 23, 200619 yr Oh look, Juanes album is top 40, im not going to rant about that :arrr: FO1 and La Tortura would have pissed all over Juanes albumsingle position stoopid record label!
April 23, 200619 yr Author Don't forget woolworths sold FO1! Oh and Tigerboy - woolies are charging £9.97 for the CD/DVD and £15.97 for the dualdisc. That's clever!
April 23, 200619 yr Author Yeah - 'A girl like me'. They've added the first 2 singles on to it as the first album never sold that well.
April 23, 200619 yr I expect Snow Patrol will be in the top 5 along witrh Dirty Pretty Things. I don't quite know why their sticking The Racounters so high though unless they think that Jack White / White Stripes fans are gonna go mad to buy the physical copy. Good news about them stocking The Arctic Monkeys EP so high even though it isn't chart eligable, because from some people that i've spoken to that are fans of The Arctic Monkeys didn't even know that they were releasing an EP.
