Well I'm sure he's beefed up a bit since he was 12 or whatever age he was  And dyed his hair too I see :funky:

Yes lol, he looked a bit gothy :D So is it definitely him? Or are we just still speculating? :P

Speculating :P But all the signs point to him.

EXCELLENT episode tonight.

Even though I already thought it was Stephen, the whole thing did still give me the shivers, and Adam Woodyat proved he's one of EE's more capable actors yet again.

I think what proved how much EE has improved for me, was that usually when soaps are trying to pull off a big climax to a big plot, and they pad the episode with snippets of the smaller plots in between, you just get extremely irritated and bored waiting for the good stuff. Tonight there wasn't really any of that. Although the Ian plot had me hooked, I still found the other two plots tonight quite interesting.

Denise was GREAT as per usual, and there were some nice touches of humour there; Kevin is a prat, but the part where he lay flat in the middle of the road was good fun, as was the rotten chilli at the end. And the kid who plays Jay is one of the better young actors in any of the soaps at the moment, although Jase isn't up to much yet.

AMAZING episode indeed :o

I was trying to figure out what Ian said, but 'can't be' is probebly right. Stephen is clearly mentally disturbed, and I am really looking forward to what he does to Ian. He seemed to lock the door behind him, so it does not look good for Ian :o Why does he hate Ian so much anyway? I know they did'nt get along but I don't get why he would do all of this to him

I know  He hated him when he blurted out to Laura (or did Laura blurt it out?) that Stephen wasn't his, and left in a huff. But surely there wasn't enough hatred hiding inside of him to come back YEARS later and torment him like this? I was once in Stephen's shoes and I'm not about to lock my stepdad in a room and do whatever to him

He did say "It can't be!"

I can only think Stephen has had his mind warped and now blames Ian for Cindy dying. And as Ian's not his real father, and Stephen's been away for so long, perhaps any paternal love he once had for Ian has long vanished?

Do you think they have chosen this bloke as he looks a bit like Simon did?

I think the casting is rubbish, he looks about as different from the other one as he possibly could.
Can't say in all honestly I can remember what the other lad looked liked - was he blonde?

He looks alright actually.

Maybe they have decided not to go with what the other Steven look's like, but on acting ability.

I really think the old Steven was dull && boring.

it was a great episode ,its understandable he doesnt look like the other kids in one way as ian isnt his dad, great episode last night

Last night's episode was pure gold.

I was sat with popcorn, a drink and was stunned to see it was Steven.

I now owe my friend a tenner because I betted him it would be Cindy whilst he thought it was Steven. =/

EE got nearly 11.5 million viewers last night. :o That is amazing (especially as it was up again the Rugby) and just proves how it truly is back to it's best. It was one of the highest ratings for any episode of a soap this year. Well done EE, definatly deserved as it was a brilliant episode. :yahoo: :yahoo:

Gemma Bissix (who played Nigel's daughter Claire and who recently played Clare in 'Hollyoaks') is coming back to EastEnders, apparently! :o

Cool!

That's alot. And I'm one of them 11.5 million people. :)

It's good, because EE went through such a dry patch.. But it's looking up.

I was one of those people that casually turned into watch EE on Friday. :magic:

Very good episode. Very dark and scary. Peter Beale looks well different now, it's like he went away for extensive surgery for about 2 years and was given a complete make-over. They needed a new actor for his character though, the old one was absolutely terrible.

Eastenders didn't used to see to know how to find good child actors. Sonia and Martin were good but after that people like Steven were terrible! But recently what with Lauren and Lucy, and the current Peter, I think the standard has improved. ^_^
