June 19, 200718 yr The thing with Gareth is, people are bored with his typical ballad like songs. If he REALLY wanted a good comeback he should've done something different and upbeat to get peoples attention. I don't know why people are surprised it's flopping tbh.

The guy is always reliable. I would guess though that other climbers will be scattered around in the top 40? MW rarely lists the climbers from say #85 or #114 or whatever.

June 19, 200718 yr It looks like Simon Webbe has also flopped as well...not surprised really. British solo males don't seem to have been having a very good time of it in the charts for a while now, with the exception of the guitar toters like the James's Blunt & Morrison and Paulo of course.

I think the general perception was that AOMS was going to be received better by the radio stations. Radio 2 kept their promise! Can you see 'Electric 'or 'New Kid in Town' Click on Gareth's Myspace being played by Radio 1?
