Do you think Shayne Ward will be able to stablish himself as a popstar like will young, or even become bigger???

Not sure but think it'll depend if he gets a good first single for his second album as Will did with Leave Right Now.

Well if he goes out on his own and tell Lousis to f*ck off then yes he will be far bigger but with Louis he will get no respect.

My opinion is he won't have a long career as long as he remains the puppet of Walsh & Cowell. He needs to cut out all the miming if anyone apart from the fickle teenies is ever gonna take him seriously. :lol:

Actually I think they are two quite different artists with different audiences so don't think you can compare anyway. As long as Will carries on doing what he does then quite frankly I don't give a stuff what Shayne does. I reserve the right to change my opinion on that if he stops miming and takes some creative control by the way ;)

well in my opinion i cant see anything special about him attractive [ but not to my taste] he can sing but his voice is not distinctive, i always have to think about who is singing when i hear him on the radio :huh:

his material is westlife :P and he's prepared to do that for has long as his career lasts [ he has said has much]

 

he might and i say might sell more records than Will [ but then westlife sell more ]but sales dont mean better, will has said if wanted to sell more records he could by sticking to a certain formula, but he said he is not in it just for sales, thats why he has taken risks with his music and possibly alienated some of his fans :D he wont shake me off that easily :lol:

Well, I see him as a solo westlife, since he isn´t anything special at all and depens on his looks to conquer the ladies...

I think he will need to do far more than just dump LW in order to be bigger than Will. He needs an individual musical style and a unique sounding voice, oh and bucketloads of talent and charisma. Maybe he has all these things and I've just not noticed yet <_<

I don't believe he'll ever be as big as Will or sell as many records. He's not got any exceptional talent - just a not unpleasant voice and OKish looks. I don't believe the latter will get him far for long. The equivalent of fast food for me: no substance...

As an impartial (Robbie Fan ;) ) observer, I'd be very surprised if Shayne has any long term success. He has an OK (not great) voice but I just don't see in him the originality, creativity or charisma that Will has. I don't honestly see Shayne having the strength of character to cut the ties to Louis Walsh et al. If he can't strike out on his own he'll be regarded as a one-man Westlife, ready to be supplanted by the next X-Factor winner.

 

Sorry Shayne but I fear the worst for you. :(

 

 

By the way, love Will's new Blue Peter video. Very creative. Oh and the song is good too. :)

I don't think Shayne will ever be as successful as Will. But I do think he's got a very nice voice (more the type of voice I prefer to be honest, sorry, but we all can't like the same thing) but if he doesn't assert himself he won't be able to survive, I don't think.

I don't think he will ever sell as many CD's either.

No problem with you not liking the video Val. I suppose not everyone is going to get Will's quirky sense of humour. Personally I find all Will's videos very refreshing (post Pop Idol era) in contrast to the very samey vids that most artists produce. Give me individuality & uniquess over bland & predictable any day.

As Will said, he can't make a straight video, and in the past, he's done the alternatives, walking on the beach on his own, straight to camera and a dance one. He's now developing a reputation for some very unique & quirky videos and anything that is different is bound to cause a reaction and provoke opinion. Love 'em or hate 'em, they get noticed and that can't be a bad thing :D

Hello, I hope you don't mind me joining in your discussion.

 

One thing I have always admired Will for is sticking up for what he wanted to do and produce the albums and songs he has done.

 

He told the X factor bosses to get lost, he wanted to do it his way and and quite frankly he was so right, if Shayne does not have the guts to do what Will did then I see it as being quite a short career.

 

I hope Shayne can break away from the strangle hold that Louis appears to have on him. He has the looks, he has the voice and the young girl appeal. It is at his feet if he follows his instincts and believes in himself and his own talent.

 

Not sure if he is going to trust it though.

 

Robbie has made an exceptional niche for himself and so has Will. I don't see Shayne at this point doing that, so I would say that Shayne won't be as successful unless he produces some more character and substance about him.

 

 

Is it true that Will is looking at going into the cabaret circuit? I read it in the papers and you know what papers are like, I just wondered.
