Rihanna at number 1 for 6 weeks is amazing though I loved to have SOS or Unfaithful at # 1.
I think Rihanna will hold on for another 2 weeks, beyond that, I haven't got a clue who could knocked her off. Probably Elvis in August.
Maybe the next #1 will be the Spice Girls - Stop on July 8th on downloads alone after their triumphant return at the Princess Diana Concert the week before

Timbaland, Avril Lavigne, Arctic Monkeys

I think any/all of these could

I'm thinking Kate Nash could POSSIBLY do it this week :o

Sales are kinda low and shes climbing fast on iTunes....

I just wish anyone would - I really dislike this song - surely I can't be the only one on the planet who finds it boring?

The sensational Fergie releases her third single from her album 'The Dutchess'. 'Big Girls Don't Cry' is a touching song with Fergie sharing a side of herself we rarely see. The lyrics are heartfelt, speaking of wanting time alone to face up to her responsibilities. Led by an acoustic guitar and laced with strings, complimenting Fergie's versatile voice, the track was produced by the multi-talented Will.I.Am (Black Eyed Peas) and was written by Fergie and Toby Gad. - HMV

Well at least this is not the 4 Seasons turn in which Fergie show her pop style rather than her hip-hop sound

The way this song sounded MCR should have issued this tune as the 3rd song instead of their last hit

Maybe a top ten hit this time around for them

I think the next number one will be Avril, she deserves it with "When You're Gone"

This is a good song but Paul should have released Ever Changing Past in of this which sounded like it should have been second. Also this is Paul's first song on issued on EMI since "We All Stand Together" in 1984.

Following up their kick ass return to the charts with 'You Can't Have it All', Ash return with their most mature and radio friendly record of their career entitled 'Polaris'.

The track sees songwriter Tim Wheeler candidly narrating a tale of heartbreak and emerged when Tim happened upon a certain Bono whilst holidaying in the south of France. The meeting concluded with a stay at Bono's residence where upon Wheeler began writing and playing what was to emerge as 'Polaris'. The songs original intro still remains on the final recording along with an amazing string arrangement by the legendary and Grammy Award Winner Paul Buckmester (most known for his string arrangements on Harry Nilsson's 'Without You' and Carly Simon's 'You’re So Vain'). - HMV

Somehow Ash's reins on the top of the charts since to see slipping a little more since this is the 3rd lowest chart outing in their now 12 year chart career

Tennessee 4-piece Paramore release their new single 'Misery Business', an appetiser of their forthcoming new album 'Riot!'. Since the release of the band’s debut album 'All We Know Is Falling' in early 2006, Paramore have been causing a stir with riotous performances on the Vans Warped Tour and at their own sold out shows on both sides of the Atlantic. After two years of constant touring across the U.S, the band took out six months to write and record the new album, and are currently back on the road in the US. - HMV

This was a good week for this band not only they get their first uk top 40 hit, they also get a US top 20 album. Let's hope they can improve from this soon.

Boy, Gareth Gates career has really falling in hard times now that this tune didn't crack the top 20. I hope Will Young's next batch of new song will do better than Garteh's
