Good performance on the XF ...

Where has his live band got to , I hate those background videos on tv, maybe his budget has been cut

I liked the performance too. It's not often he just stands there and sings the song. :)

The programme as a whole is shite though isn't it? Had to sit through it all just waiting for him to appear.

Nice photo

We tried to get in on this photo, but Louis wouldn't let us.

How great was @robbiewilliams' #XFactor performance tonight!

Smashed it!

So to summarise properly - it was due to start at eight but Robbie was delayed out the front with photos etc. Ayda had taken her seat and then had to go presumably for those photos. So he didn't actually start until about 8.25 when the doors had opened at six.

He came out and did three numbers to the loudest noise possible B-) - did HES/LMEY/Rock DJ. Then they whispered in his ear and he had to go off because one of the huge lights above him had a chain in it ands they had to lower it down and fix it. This all took about ten minutes and the atmosphere that had been Gladiatorial up to that point  calmed a little. Any way he came back on and carried on and the atmosphere came flooding back.

He looked really chuffed with the energy because it was immense. TT got a huge welcome for The Flood which was lovely. Then they did BFG and I was standing there thinking "Oh they're doing it the old way" and then they started bouncing. I may have screamed :cheer: :o  because I've always wanted to see them perform that song all together that way. It seemed like such an embrace of the period they were apart and the final link from when Mark sang it with him at Knebworth. :)

TT went off but came on later to present the award which was perfect. Can't remember much about it because I was so thrilled that we were going to get to see him receive it. I thought they'd done all that before the gig started. I can just remember Mark saying some thing like "sometimes our journey was together, sometimes it was apart but he's our brother and we love him." It was lovely.

He did Candy and Bodies and LML and Mixed signals. They all sounded great live. PLAR was brilliant live.

He looked very, very slim - in excellent shape. Literally two foot from us.

and the "Proud of you" sign was a really touching moment in Angels. He carried on singing but had a little smile. It was very sweet. :)

It was a real honour to be there tonight to say thank you to him for all he gives. We had a wonderful night and I felt really, really proud of him.

I totally forgot that you were going Laura, thrilled you had the opportunity to be there, it must have been some atmosphere , Lovely touch that they got the lads to present the Brit to him, I bet he will appreciate that one most of all....
