:( That’s such a shame, I was hoping they would be able to continue.

Admittedly I haven’t watched Neighbours religiously for many years, yet there’s always been something strangely comforting about knowing Neighbours was still on TV after so many years.

I stopped watching it in early 2010… not because I wasn’t enjoying it, but because I was living away from home & the TV aerial situation was a nightmare - I literally couldn’t watch it! Breaking that habit kind of made it “out of sight, out of mind” and when I eventually could watch TV properly again, I didn’t try to get back into Neighbours. I’ve seen the odd few episodes over the years, usually very hyped events, during anniversaries. Never went back to being a regular viewer though.

I first began watching Neighbours in 1995 in the UK (so I assume that means they’d have been 1994 episodes?). I remember seeing the Kennedy family arriving to the street! I would watch it with my mum in the evening broadcast.

Farewell Neighbours! I hope the fans will get some satisfying conclusions & see some returns from iconic characters.

This is sad :(

I used to absolutely love Neighbours, I haven't watched it in absolute years but as mentioned by another member it was a comfort knowing it was still on.

I was rooting for it to find a new home.

Disappointed but I guess it’s no huge surprise. I use to watch it on and off from the mid 90’s to 2002, then started watching it daily from then.
I wonder if they could extend the final ep to an hour as I feel half an hour won't do it as much justice, also it would be nice if there is be a montage of clips at the end.
Ya an hour long final episode would be good, I'd like some neighbours specials to be shown in the run up to the final week aswell as they could do some great shows based around it.

Finishing in Australia on September 10 apparently. Is that the same as the UK? If so Australia’s going to need to catch up.
Me too and I think they’ll try and do that. Which makes me think Australia will start getting double episodes soon.
I wonder how many exits of the current cast there will be before the final episode.i didnt particularly enjoy Colette mann recent interview, she did say she isnt a person to dwell on things but I found her very cold about the show and made me feel that something else was behind her exit. She did say the cast knew last June that there was a high chance the show would be cancelled so I'd say scriptwriters have had that in their mind re storylines for it ending.

I’d imagine there were a few exits in the pipeline already.

I wonder what actually happened with Collette Mann as it doesn’t seem like it was her choice to leave.

In the the video she said it was her decision and how she as happy with the exit but i dont fully buy into it, she was a big enough character on the show and to leave off screen doesnt fully add up.

Yeah see I agree with you, it was all rather abrupt and out of nowhere. Like blink and you miss it.

Plus Shelia was the type of character that I think not only deserved a send off of sorts but would’ve liked one.

The show is so strong at the moment and it feels unusual for a show still delivering great episodes to get the chop.

I'm happy the final episode airs the same date in aussie and the uk and ireland. I still have this little thing in my head that it will be saved.
