Like they're actually any better than the "monsters" they're supposedly "protecting" their kids from, such fine upstanding moral citizens they are most of the time - petty thieves, car thieves, drug dealers, criminal records as long as your fukkin' arm for the most part with more ASBOs than hot dinners.... I remember one notorious case - Mags Heaney, the archetypal "Neighbour From Hell" whose family absolutely terrorized the estate they came from, and then the next minute, she's acting all high and mighty about "paedos" moving into the area.... Of course it does. Would you like to marry a child-killer? I sure wouldn't, no matter how old they were when it happened. She has the fundamental right to know who she is marrying. Are Thompson and Venables worthy of £4m of taxpayers money protecting them ? IMHO no, I would rather £4m of taxpayers money was spent on hospitals and schools than on protecting 2 lowlifes

 

They should be left to their own devices and not be getting taxpayers money to keep them safe

I was bought up until my mid teens in as tough conditions as Thompson and Venables were bought up, I was bought up on a rough council estate, I had to live on my brother's hand me downs for a good number of years as my family could not justify the cost of buying fresh clothing for the both of us, I had many friends who were bought up in similar conditions and not one ever contemplated abducting, torturing and murdering a child, the thought of doing ANYTHING evil never entered my head and my upbringing was every bit as tough as Thompson and Venables's so what made them do it then if I was never driven to it or any of my friends on the estate I was bought up with driven to it ? some of my friends had alcoholic parents, 2 of them were physically abused by parents yet they never went out and committed murder so it is with respect absolute rubbish to suggest a tough financial or parental upbringing drove them to murder, course they had to be f***ed up in the head or criminally insane or have genetic defects that brings out evil in them.

 

There are 2 million kids in this country living below the poverty line, there are 2 million out there living as tough a lives as Thompson and Venables did so why aren't there 2 million out there scouring shopping malls for kids to torture and murder if your reasoning is correct ? which it isn't ;)
