I think she does appeal to teens, who have an appreciation for unique artists. There are some young adults who might not like today's current music, and find Madonna's huge catalog to be a blast to listen to. I'm 22 and I don't care for much of today's music. Especially since I'm a pop fan. So listening to all her stuff is just awesome.

What do you think? Do you think teens today, can find appreciation for Maddy's music? Discuss. lol

Probably not as much as she appealed to teens 10 years ago. I'm sure the odd track like Hung Up and Ray Of Light will probably be appreciated, but I can't imagine too many being interested in trawling through the entire 80s/90s catalogue.

This gets discussed so many times and its always an interesting topic!

Yes Madonna still appeals to teens and this is highly evident..

Her singles and albums always chart high, her albums still debut at #1 on the pop charts and shes still considered 'cool' by many teens!

Her videos for Hung Up and Sorry both hit #1 on MTV's TRL, HU which retired eventaully and won Madonna an award as well as 5 VMA nominations! Which woman in her late 40's would achieve something like that?

Her tours are sell outs and many teens attend as well as mature adults.

Shes a constant trend setter, her sense of style is always present in young clothes shops such as New Look and Top Shop (Confessions and Music eras were big!).

So shes still relevant to youngsters baring in mind all the points discussed above and more. Fair anough, she aint as popular as she was in 1985 with the girls but c'mon, for a woman hitting 50 and having hit records and #1 videos on MTV is pretty damn good!

Unfortunately teens don't listen to DISCO :( With Timbaland and Justin on board she should be able to ''get down with the kids,'' but even then it will be MINIMAL.
You know I really don't have high hopes for this Timbaaland thing. If I could of named one type of music that Madonna couldn't pull off, it would be the urban.
Madonna has givinen us stuff close to Hip Hop/R&B Stuff mainly from her Bedtime Stories album and American Life

Teens appeal to music genres that are popular at the moment like RnB/Hip Hop/indie bands etc. no matter if they like it or not and don't find artists cool who are there for many many years like Madonna. I think they find her old. But there are always exceptions (like young gays).

Madonna has though the luck to have a wide and strong fanbase!
