i like the album however it's not my favourite. i completely adore Slow however the slight urban sound isn't really what I'm into, and is it just me or does the actual cd and spine carry the same design on as the fever CD in terms of font style, etc. i know what i mean but i can't explain it properly.lol

its my 2nd least fave kylie album after km94,although i like the album it overall doesnt do alot for me and i dont listen to the album much at all,on saying that i absolutly adore slow and chocolate they are def the best songs on the album for me,and i loved the way slow was performed on the X tour also,,

body langauge was good as she tried something different which is great for any artist but i found fever and light years both fantastic so in that regards this was a weak follow up to them

I much prefer Fever to be honest. Chocolate is fab though
chocolate was instant with me at all,i kinda of liked it but when i went and saw kylie on showgirl i really loved chocolate and have loved itsince

Hugely. It's near-perfect. Its reputation seems to better with time but I feel that the reason it got treat unfairly is because of its contrast musically to Fever and not because of the content of the album itself.

My second favourite Kylie album behind Impossible Princess. It's among her most musically complex and lyrically it's also interesting. I feel like the lyrical content of the album is all but ignored: lyrics of songs such as Promises, Chocolate, Obsession and Someday are brilliant.

Body Language left me so under-whelmed, actually shockingly under-whelmed. Light Years and Fever had me in pop heaven and i was loving Kylie through both era's. Along came slow and i loved it and was so excited for the album and then the crash hit. The album went nowhere for me, it had no spark and it was clear as day Kylie was aiming for the American market with the album and it failed. I really bought the album on the confidence i had from her strong album output through light years and fever, i had discovered impossible princess at this time too and was enjoying it immensely but body language is an album that if i had my time again i would not buy it, as bad as Kiss Me Once is i can say i enjoy a few tracks and love 2 of them.
That's the problem I'm speaking about, though: Body Language isn't pop heaven and people can't take it for what it is. I think in general if people listen to the record with an open mind and open ears rather than comparing it to her pop-focused records they will see the album come to life the way it should be listened to.

I still like body language - its much better than kiss me once. I think the problem is it was such a radical shift from her style on fever and more aimed at the American market. Slow is a fantastic lead single and very different from anything she has previously done. I don't like red blooded woman though - its too urban sounding for my liking.

I find it interesting that your favourite Kylie albums are BL and IP because I think they are pretty similar. Not in terms of sound obviously, but because they are pretty overlooked in terms of her albums. Not that well recieved at the time, but nowadays fans think of them as favourites and really appreciate them for what they are.

Yes, I agree. Another two that can join that list I think are Kylie Minogue (KM94) and Let's Get To It, but I don't think the reception of those is as divided as Impossible Princess and Body Language and they don't seem to strike up as much debate or appear in conversation a lot. I find some of her more acclaimed and beloved efforts (particularly Light Years and to an extent Aphrodite) to be quite overrated. Those albums don't have much substance.

Your last statement is how I feel about Fever  not a bad album, but not that good either.
I absolutely adore Fever, I think it's a perfect pop-dance album, however I can completely understand why you'd find it overrated (and really I suppose it is).
