Quite like it, can understand why people think it's dull though :( Top 5 I reckon, his album will go exactly the same way as the Scissor Sisters - there's no chance in hell he'll have a top 20 hit after 1973 unless it's a really good song, deffo an album artist.
Shockingly bland, even by his standards. I just cannot believe he feels this is acceptable as his big comback single. Even the lyrics are awful.

I hate the guy, can't see why he's so liked and what the fuss about some of his tracks was.

But i'll admit to liking this track. :(

He doesn't interest me much, it's a pleasant enough song but am I alone in thinking it's a very weak song musically and lyrically?

No your not. I remember someone posted the lyrics in another thread ages ago (I think it was you?) and I remember thinking what weak lyrics they were, have now heard the song alot on the radio and feel it is in no way strong enough to be a single, never mind a big comeback one.

I haven't heard yet

Neither have I and I pray that it stays that way.

James Blunt is everything that's wrong with music today. Barely talented and simply 'marketable'.

Buying a James Blunt release proves you don't give a $h!t what you listen to.

worse still are 'blunt wannabes'... theres hundereds of solo males warbling away on tv, adverts,... who are they? WHO ARE THEY?

too true though, very bad for pop music.

Just watched the vid on TV, and it ain't that good either. Found it on youtube.

Songs with years in the titles

Smashing Pumpkins - 1979

Prince - 1999

Titiyo - 1989

Bowling For Soup - 1985

Busted - Year 3000

Alvin Stardust - In the year 2525

Silverchair - Anthem for the year 2000

Liked the song, btw

Well it is not as awful as I expected.

But I'll ask this, if it is rubbish then how come it is the 2nd most requested song/video on MTV Hits (behind Sean Kingston - Beautiful Girls) ahead of 3rd Kanye West - Stronger & 4th Robyn - With Every Heartbeat.

Whilst on I-Tunes it's video is currently the 2nd behind Sean Kingston & ahead of 3rd Kanye West.

In short the omens are for a certain Top 3 Hit single.

Because all it needs is 10% of the people that bought Back To Bedlam to like it. The other 90% could think it's $h!te and it would still have 300,000 fans.
