It's in the care of a Trust. There is also a local family which maintains it by placing flowers there and keeping it nice for visitors.

 

There is usually one service a year there.

Nice churches. I like the architecture of some churches. :)

the pics were taken 2 days ago :wub: there are different opinions about it.. some say they have the same thing at home- windows media player, other say it'll be great for drug addicts and rave parties...

I think it looks good, there are still scales around it, not sure if we'll be allowed to walk on it but we're certainly the only town that has something like that.

The colors change as the sea organs play- as the waves hit the shore :wub:

I just had to go and see it. I had no idea they finished it while I was away :o Have to say I expected it to be different..like a huge hourglass or something... but this is nice too.... though I prefer the sea organs :wub: nothing tops them :wub:

:lol: it's a special "music instrument". There are tubes or pipes ? under the surface of the sea and as the waves hit the shore, you can hear different sounds...Sea organs because the sounds are similar to those you can hear in a church. So now they spent millions on this next project- the salutation to the sun- and it works together with the organs, the colors change as the organs play...just like you can see in Winamp or WMP :lol:

OH ok...I didn't understand what it was either. That is really cool! Who would think of something like that?!

 

How do they keep things off of it? I would imagine birds would land (or poop) all over it, LOL!
