August 15, 200717 yr I think people are underestimating Britney. Her image has never been great, everyone has always dissed her somehow. I think if the music is good and she promotes it well, it will be bigger then ITZ and sell around 8 - 9 million copies, maybe surpass 10. Madonna just, ugh. Mariah will be huge in America, not sure about the UK. Kylie needs to release in the US again :(
August 15, 200717 yr Kylie needs to release in the US again :( Kylie has released in the US since Fever, Body Language didn't do that well there, Ultimate Kylie bombed completely. :( But I'm sure she'll release the next album there. As for Britney, I think she needs to work extra hard for her comeback to be REALLY successful, over the past few years she's been systematically chipping away at her reputation and she's practically a joke now, but she could just pull it off!
August 15, 200717 yr As for Britney, I think she needs to work extra hard for her comeback to be REALLY successful, over the past few years she's been systematically chipping away at her reputation and she's practically a joke now, but she could just pull it off! TBH though, Britney has NEVER had a good reputation image wise, besides being FIT...which she is again. Mind you, it is worse then it was 3 years ago, but that's because all of her positive press comes from her music and performances, which she hasn't released a studio album in almost 4 years, and she hasn't done a live performance in almost 3 years, unless you count HOB tour but that was strictly no press... August 16, 200717 yr Author Alicia keys flops in the uk all the time and carrie isnt releasing here and hardly anybody knows who she is, so not much point adding them really?
August 16, 200717 yr Britney Spears I want her to flop, anyone fancy joining me?? :P Leona Lewis Not sure... Madonna It's like she is running out of idea so that's why she is working with JT and Timbaland. -_- Mariah Carey I don't like her as person, but she should do well, top 3 isn't a problem for her. But whether it will last... I doubt it since she is not that popular in Europe Whitney Houston I think she can do something for her comeback, she could be huge again. :) Delta Goodrem She will do well I believe Anastacia She will do well I believe Jennifer Lopez Not sure... she is hanging there... Kylie Minogue (Dannii might have a new album out soon too, not that she is big lol) She will definitely have a No.1 single since slow but with so much competition from Spice Girls and Craponna, I wonder if her new album will go to No.1 The Sugababes There is no way they will flop, uk loves them. Girls Aloud I don't like them, no comment. Kt Tunstall Her follow up won't be as successful, but it's been a tradition. Nicole Scherzinger Are you ready to diss this prostitute doll? Dido She will do well.
August 16, 200717 yr I am pretty confident that Kylie will do well from a worldwide standpoint as well. I think Girls Aloud might not do so well though. I am sure Britney will do well because people have been anticipating her return for a while as it is, the hype is just a catalyst for her to sell a lot anyways. She'll probably be working with top notch producers which will make her return even more noticeable. KT will do well, Madonna will also do well as usual, Anatascia (indifferent I don't know), Delta (again she will probably do well), Jennifer Lopez will do well so long as she keeps up with Dance/R&B element of music like she always has (she will probably have A-list producers/songwriters too.. no worries), Whitney will sell... but will it be multi-plantinum sales? I really have no idea, she will sell though. She might have Janet Jackson (like 20 y.o sales) like sales with the comeback album she putting out, and Sugababes might flop.. but idk, that's another hard one to call. I think Mariah well surprise people and sell a lot with the up and coming album too, I loved her last album and basically anything she put out in the 90s anyways. August 16, 200717 yr Anastacia all the way! She's following the same style as the "Anastacia" album (thankgod not those boring songs of POAD) so she'll wipe out Europe as always. :smoke: Kylie will be pretty big to! :D Well she's ditching the Pieces Of A Dream-ballad style and working with the same people she worked with on the 3rd album and apparntly the same guy who produces Alanis Morrisets albums. Oh and the gh has almost sold about 500k in the uk apparntly. :o Glen Ballard! Excellent... I think people are underestimating Britney. Kylie needs to release in the US again :( The thing is whilst Britney's never exactly been credible, she's NEVER been as much of a joke as she is now. Her image is WAY down on even what it was 2 years ago.
