August 16, 200717 yr Yeah! That's why he's the best, people start doubting him and booing him somewhere and he always shut them up :cheer: Lets hope he can keep going ^_^
August 16, 200717 yr To quote Former double Olympic Champion Lord Sebastian Coe: "David is to this generation what Ian Botham was in the 1980s. He is underappreciated & hounded by the English fans & sport writers, yet when he has retired we'll spend the next 20 years trying to find the next David Beckham..."
August 17, 200717 yr Author I do think time is against him playing at the highest level. But in the US with less games  and not so high quality opponents he might have the opportunity to shine again. pr_qwkmWukI
August 17, 200717 yr Despite the fact he is ex ManUtd and is married to the vile Posh Spice I am a huge admirer of Beckham, while other players are out getting pissed every night and shoving mobile phones up the arses and beating their wives and so on Beckham is the finest professional of his generation, clean living (barely drinks if at all), hard working, a family man, keeps himself in shape, puts a lot back into the game with his soccer schools and so on. A model pro I wish him luck in America

August 17, 200717 yr Erm, you kinda missed out the fact that he had an extra-marital affair Craig.... So, not exactly squeaky clean mate.... He didn't, it was never proven, he denied it and there was never any evidence that her and that woman ever got together She came up with all that stuff to try and get famous and make lots of money
August 17, 200717 yr I criticised Beckham loads after the World Cup, but there's really not another player like him at all in the world at the moment. He's the best player in the world in a dead ball situation and he's showing the US at the moment just how good he is in that situation. The problem for Beckham in the US though, will be the travelling to the games, that might ware it out of him as the season progresses. I hope he's still considered for the England team though by McLaren as he's without a doubt one of our best players.
