yeah but then what do you expect from the Icelandic pop scene

the nearest the British would get to Icelandic pop weirdness is probably Newton Faulkner innit, and thats not a nice thought.

I never found Real Good Time on youtube either :-(

I do have an mp3 of Girls Night Out which had the classic lyric 'when we're married and cooking an onion'

I found her MySpace here:

http://www.myspace.com/aldamusic

which has Real Good Time and a couple of other tracks on it

Also appeared on Identity Parade on Never Mind The Buzzcocks not so long ago :P

:o Yes my sister bought Real Good Time ;)

Probably about the same time she bought Everlasting Love by the cast of Casualty aswell

With sales as high as they were in 1998 I imagine there must be around 50,000 copies of the single littering charity shops/car boot sales across the country

Its a sorry state that she only has 100 friends on MySpace though, most of which will be DIEHARD Alda fans...

I decided to go on a trek to see if I could find Alda's Real Good Time today...

I only found a cassette single and I don't have a tape player any more...I did however find an album 'Top Of The Pops 1998 Vol 2' which has it on so I bought that!!!

didnt Robyn only have about 219 fans outside Sweden about a year ago? and 100 friends on myspace, thats like the whole population of Iceland in comparison

I'm guessing I-tunes does not have it?

Of course not <_< They really should at least have all UK top 10 hits on there...

I'm sure they could quite easily get the license for Alda's tracks...its not like she's The Beatles

yep, you were right Shoat. I just requested for Alda to be put on there as well as Ghetto Superstar by Pras and Mya which doesn't seem to be on there either
