Well you need a boat, a map (although tbh if you're going to discover new countries, a map is a little pointless), a compass, erm possibly an MP3 player (but not if it's loaded with depressing, indie songs that'll make you want to jump overboard).

 

Then all you need is someone who knows what they're doing and you're away :magic:
