Posted August 20, 200717 yr http://i18.tinypic.com/6fg4p6b.jpg Again, not a huge surprise who's no.1 this week. The Enemy have been waiting patiently in the wings for 4 weeks until a confirmed release date was revealed, and finally they've been given one and have climbed to no.1 almost a month before it's due to be released. Kasabian slip back down to spend their 5th week in the top 3, and ditto for Athlete who have also spent a 5th consecutive week in the top 5. A surprise new entry at no.4 comes courtesy of The Twang with the follow up to 'Either Way'. 'Two Lovers' is released shortly, so I thought i'd give it a brief spell in the top 5. It will most likely fall next week. And similar to The Enemy, the Stereophonics are biding their time slowly climbing up the chart. Its only a matter of time until they bag their first TOTB no.1 with the superb 'It Means Nothing'. With the exception of Reverend & The Makers, the remaining acts in the bottom half of the chart are all fallers, with Kaiser Chiefs looking to exit the chart shortly. Shame that. http://i17.tinypic.com/68hji9j.jpg http://i19.tinypic.com/632rfwl.jpg 1 The Enemy - You're Not Alone [7-5-2-1] http://i11.tinypic.com/67ozk84.jpg 2 Kasabian - Fast Fuse [3-2-2-1-2] http://i19.tinypic.com/549g5lj.jpg 3 Athlete - Hurricane [5-2-1-1-3-3] http://i10.tinypic.com/681zajm.jpg 4 The Twang - Two Lovers [New Entry] http://i19.tinypic.com/632rfwl.jpg 5 Stereophonics - It Means Nothing [6-5] http://i14.tinypic.com/62xdqhe.jpg http://i19.tinypic.com/632rfwl.jpg 6 Reverend & The Makers - He Said He Loved Me [9-6] http://i11.tinypic.com/67ozk84.jpg 7 Hard-Fi - Suburban Knights [4-4-5-3-5-7] http://i11.tinypic.com/67ozk84.jpg 8 Maxïmo Park - Girls Who Play Guitars [7-6-5-4-4-8] http://i11.tinypic.com/67ozk84.jpg 9 Arctic Monkeys - Fluorescent Adolescent [4-2-1-1-2-1-2-2-1-1-1-3-4-6-7-8-9] http://i11.tinypic.com/67ozk84.jpg 10 Kaiser Chiefs - The Angry Mob [9-7-10] http://i7.tinypic.com/4zdsev5.jpg 2006 20 Mar: Embrace - Nature's Law [1 week] 27 Mar: Snow Patrol - You're All I Have [4 weeks] 01 May: Primal Scream - Country Girl [3 weeks] 29 May: Ordinary Boys vs Lady Sovereign - Nine2Five [2 weeks] 12 Jun: Keane - Is It Any Wonder? [7-6-5-4-4-8] 9 Arctic Monkeys - Fluorescent Adolescent :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) - Getting a bit old now, but still very good! August 20, 200717 yr Author Wow... you like a lot of the stuff  And I agree with you on most of the songs, especially Kaisers. They could have released so much better than 'Angry Mob' :( Thanks for commenting/rating Jonny
August 20, 200717 yr I like all 10 tracks, and loving the new single from The Stereophonics, its growing on me every time I listen to it. They always do well with their lead tracks from the new albums in the chart, I hope this does the same for them
August 20, 200717 yr Author Couldnt agree more about the Stereophonics track Mikey. A dead cert for future no.1 in my chart :yahoo: Thanks for the comment, mate
August 21, 200717 yr :cheer: Hey Miguel :yahoo: 1 The Enemy - You're Not Alone / A great new act in my opinion, they've followed the amazing "Had Enough" and "Away From Here" with this fantastic track! 2 Kasabian - Fast Fuse / It seems like lately Kasabian can do no wrong for me. Their latest album "Empire" has delivered amazing hits so far, and this new track doesn't fail to impress! 3 Athlete - Hurricane / What a comeback! I've always loved Athlete, especially the "Half Light" days. This is a return to top form for them and I hope this becomes their biggest single to date. 4 The Twang - Two Lovers / Not as touching as "Either Way" but certainly a nice song by The Twang. 5 Stereophonics - It Means Nothing / Another band I was looking forward to hearing from this year and they never fail. "It Means Nothing" is a great comeback single for Stereos. 6 Reverend & The Makers - He Said He Loved Me / I ackwardly thought about them as one hit wonders but they've proved me wrong with this sophomore hit. Let's see how it performs on the Official UK Charts (fingers crossed it'll make a decent performance)! 7 Hard-Fi - Suburban Knights / I love them even more than I did 2 years ago (is that even possible?)... I'm so glad that this song is having the success it deserves. I'm quite surprised it didn't make No.1 on your personal charts! 8 Maxïmo Park - Girls Who Play Guitars / This new Maxïmo Park hasn't had the same effect as their previous "A Certain Trigger", but it has produced nice enough hits so far (including the utterly genius "Our Velocity"). This is not as strong as the aforementioned hit, but it's not bad either. 9 Arctic Monkeys - Fluorescent Adolescent / We all know how amazing this track is, no comment needed. 10 Kaiser Chiefs - The Angry Mob / They could've done so much better!!!! Nevertheless, if the amazing "Everything Is Average Nowadays" could only managed No.19, then we can't have our hopes high for this new offering. It's a good track from a half-decent/half-arsed era. Excellent chart Mykul!!!!!
August 21, 200717 yr Author 10/10 yet again! :magic: Thanks Matt :magic: Excellent chart Mykul!!!!! Some brilliant reviews there Luc, thanks for taking the time to comment ;)
