It’s called ‘Call The Shots’ and it’s out at the end of November, so we’re thinking about what the video should look like and asking directors to send in their pitches over the next week. We're looking do something a bit less hectic than the last video. It’s always exciting and sometimes funny to see how video directors interpret songs when it comes to putting forward ideas for videos. Things we expect to see in our inbox this time round: 1. There’s a good bit in the ‘Call The Shots’ chorus which would lend itself to a ‘lasso’ style dance move, so there might be a country and western theme somewhere along the way. Perhaps there could also be a duel in the video, with the girls hounding five no-good cowboys out of town. 2. The song is called ‘Call The Shots’ and the phrase ‘call the shots’ derives from target practice. Perhaps someone will propose a video featuring the Girls as five Robin Hoods. 3. Shooting is something made popular by dandy highwayman Dick Turpin. We can already picture Nicola on horseback holding up English aristocracy on a country lane. Yey. Until next time.....
