Posted August 31, 200717 yr Been thinking about this for a few days now, and i believe Tyron does it with the Album Chart, would it make sense to put a 1 week "freeze" on charts for the Multichart, or will this make the chart effectively "old"? For example this week, charts from Loom, Jake, Aly, Jonny, Knisper, Adam, Bertie87, Music Maniac and Joao Filipe haven't yet been submitted, so would it make sense to carry over last week's charts to this week's Multichart? Hardly the biggest issue in the world, but i just wanted to know if anyone had any opinions
August 31, 200717 yr I believe that although there's more excuse to do it with the album chart (as that doesn't seem to change as much in comparison to a singles chart), it is sensible to do at times when some are on holiday etc. However, if these are charts that would tip the balance at a point where a missed chart is likely to just be a loss of interest as opposed to lack of time (i.e. outside the holiday period) then charts probably shouldn't be counted under the 1 week freeze. So, I reckon that 1 week freeze should be used on all unsubmitted charts between June-September and in December, and only used on charts that are known to still be active but just not published due to lack of time outside the holiday period (i.e. if the user is on holiday), with issues like these being cleared up via PM as to whether the chart is still active or not ^_^
August 31, 200717 yr If the issue is that several people are on holiday, which I think is the case here, then because they are quite a few single submittions anyway I would go ahead and do it anyway.
August 31, 200717 yr Ive decided not to do a Chart anymore... I might be doing the odd 1 but u can take my name of that list if you want..!
September 1, 200717 yr Author I'm still none the wiser, i'll post both this week for people to look at
September 1, 200717 yr Ermm I think understand what you mean ^_^ I'd just post it as normal one week of low points doesn't really matter
September 1, 200717 yr I get it, and yes, you should do it. On Haven, Andy freezes peoples charts for a week if they are not submitted on time, and it does work out well. Go for it, I say! :magic:
September 1, 200717 yr Actually, if people are on holiday use last week's chart for a week, so you are using the same chart twice, I know Andy does this on Haven and it works well
September 1, 200717 yr Don't freeze, I say. It doesn't matter if points are a bit lower - this is the last week of summer so people won't be on holiday much longer anyway. ^_^
September 1, 200717 yr I'm still none the wiser, i'll post both this week for people to look at  Ah, I didn't understand the first post. Now I realise you mean to re-use someone's chart from the previous week if they haven't entered another in that week. Yes, that would be a good idea.
September 1, 200717 yr Author Can someone tell me how to do a table on here so i can put both up together without it looking messy? I can't see how to do it
September 1, 200717 yr I'll submit my chart soon once I update my personal chart! I think I've not done it for 2 weeks now! :o So if I submit my chart this week will it still count? Edited September 1, 200717 yr by Music Maniac
