At the minute I'm tempted not to believe they killed her. There are too many gaps in the theories; for example, if they killed her hours or the day/days before the dinner party, as has been suggested, then why didn't the apartment start to smell? If they moved her body as soon as she'd died, why did no-one see them with the body, and how did they get it out of the apartment? Why did no-one notice that they were gone for a long period of time the previous day, if that's what happened?

According to various media reports it was definitely 6PM. Which leaves a 4 hour window until the alarm was raised.

I'll say what I said on Sunday. If the McCann's were credible suspects for the (accidental) killing of Madeleine & hiding the body then why the f*** did the Portuguese authorities allow them to leave the country with no bail restrictions what so ever because if there is serious credible evidence against the McCann's then that is sheer incompetence on a huge scale?

well i agree with that, but i do now think that its most likely that they did do it, i just cant buy the 'abduction' theory. the point is, maddy is gone, fact.

but i do now think that its most likely that they did do it

But why exactly? Pretty much all of the 'apperent' evidence against them, have pretty much all been media speculation and nothing else. Most of what the tabloids have said on the matter have been obviously wrong, and have been proven wrong each time, which is why I am only going on what the police have, which clearly is'nt enough to charge them.

because i think that its more plausable a theory that they sedated her and covered up the accidental death rather then a stray p**** abducted her. its the parents actions that have never sat well with me. there was no sign of greif or worry... if i had a 3 year old child abducted id be besides myself, wouldnt you? they were too 'matter of fact' about it. ok, theres no evidence that will convict them, im not saying they DID do it...indeed ive been very much against the theory that it was them until a rational motive was found. now there is a reason, i believe that they could have done it. it seems to me a more likely theory then the abduction by a p**** one.

unless it was done BEFORE they raised the alarm. when was the last time she was seen alive by anyone else? theres one big sea there, and a little light body weighed down would be impossible to find. the dna in the car is inconclusive and proves nothing.

Yes, that's what I meant. The place is tiny, and there is a massive amount of people all around. If she was last seen at 6pm, than I can't see why they would've gave her sleeping tablets at such an early time if they were not going out until 08.30 (?), so presuming it was nearer to the time they were going out (after eight), and something happened then, I still find it very hard to believe they could've got rid of her body so fast, especially considering it is not some elderly retirment home where most people would be indoors at that time in the evening, there would've been a huge amount of people outside, so I don't see how they coud've managed it myself (in the middle of the night perhaps but not evening time in such a busy and small area).

And why would trained doctors give her an overdose of pills anyway, some stupid young couple who did'nt know what they were doing, possibly, but doctors? Surely they would know the dangers? And surely a normal amount of sleeping tablets would've been enough to begin with? And as I said, it most likely would've been later on, such as nearer them going out, so surely if she died accidentilly, then they would'nt have had anywhere near enough time, to get over the shock, plan what they were going to do, somehow get body out without anyone seeing and dumping it somewhere near obviously, and somewhere where, despite their being thousands of people searching, could'nt be found, and all this without being seen. How you can think that is more plausable than her being abducted is beyond me, when people get abducted all the time. What, apart from the parents not breaking down and crying everytime they are on camera, is hard to believe about her being kidnapped? The exuse "how could the person have taken her without her screaming and being noticed" etc, does'nt exactly stand, as her could've been covering her mouth, could've knocked her out perhaps, or could've pretended he was a family friend taking her to see her parents (she was only three at the time remember). And a man was seen holding a little girl in pajamas fitting Maddie description by someone, so what is not plausable about it?

... but WAS a man seen with a little girl in pyjamas? and i didnt know she was last seen at 6.. which is fair enough and if true rules out her being killed earlier as you say, why sedate her that early?.

the point is that there is precious little evidence for an intruder, breaking in but leaving not 1 thread of clothing or trace of skin/hair and without waking up the neighbourhood? and to quote you, 'plenty of people outside' .... the very same ones that make her body being disposed of also procludes an abductor. knocking her out?... how? not enough force = squarking brat, too much = death.

im not saying the mccanns DID do it, and that the abduction theory is wrong, just that in my view with the facts that we have to date point to the mccanns imho being the more likely theory.

Yes, one of the people who knew the McCanns claimed they saw a man with a girl in pajamas in his arms, it was in the very early stages as I recall.

Fair enough, but if there was an abductor, then perhaps he had a car quite near the apartment, or there could've been more than one person involved and considering literally hundreds of people went in and out of that room after it had been reported she was gone, then it would'nt be easy. That seemed to be one of the main critisims of the police, the fact they had hundreds of people go in and out of the room, I recall a detetive being on Sky News months ago, saying how he could not get his head around why the police did'nt close up the area and not let anyone inside, apart from forensic experts, because so much evidence could've and most likely was lost by doing that.

An extract from the Telegraph, quotes a former detective regarding it:

"The police should have sealed the apartment immediately, on day one and then conducted a thorough forensic examination- this would have taken days and would have involved analysis for fluids and fibres and involved stripping the apartment bare.

"Even if this proves not to be significant, it should have been discovered in the first few days and eliminated. This shows just how inept the Portuguese police were at carrying out the initial forensics tests.

I am in no way saying they definatly did'nt do it, there are plenty of reasons for a person to think they possibly did, and I admit there is alot of unexplained things about this all, and I would love to hear what answers the McCanns have given, but overall, I still think the abductor theory is more likely overall.

I found an excellent article from the Times online from yesterday, probebly the best sum up I've seen and really interesting, although, I still say that if some of the apperent evidence mentioned in this article was true, then it really is insanity that they were allowed to go home.

Why do Portuguese police want to read Kate McCann’s personal diaries?

Detectives want to check for inconsistencies with the information previously given to police and for clues about the personal relationship between Mrs McCann, her husband and other members of the party who went with them to Portugal. Mrs McCann was seen regularly writing several pages a day in the diaries.

What evidence could be held on Gerry McCann’s laptop computer?

Mr McCann sent and received dozens of e-mails almost every day from friends and people involved in the campaign to find his daughter. It may be possible to retrieve those e-mails, which detectives hope could provide information about the events surrounding Madeleine’s disappearance and the couple’s connections with other people.

Why does a Portuguese judge need to authorise the seizure?

Portuguese police must get an authorisation from a judge to request items which are abroad or to retain items taken without the owner’s permission. Mr and Mrs McCann are believed to have taken most of the objects home to Britain. There are also reports in Portugal that police seized a copy of Mrs McCann’s diaries before the couple left the country to ensure they could not be destroyed. A judge must be asked to authorise a seizure without the owner’s consent within 24 hours.

Why didn’t the Portuguese police seize these items in Praia da Luz?

It may be that the items left Portugal some time ago when Mr or Mrs McCann made previous trips to Britain, or a friend may have taken them. The couple left the Algarve on Sunday morning at very short notice. They notified the Portuguese authorities but perhaps police did not have the opportunity to ask a judge to authorise the seizure of items without the couple’s consent.

Has the judge been asked to authorise any other seizures?

Portuguese papers reported yesterday that officers wanted to obtain Madeleine’s favourite soft toy, which Mrs McCann took home. It is also claimed that police seized the Renault hired by the McCanns 25 days after Madeleine’s disappearance. The car contained samples of the girl’s hair and “bodily fluids”.

What else has the judge been asked to do?

It has been reported that detectives want to search the church in Praia da Luz where the couple regularly prayed after Madeleine disappeared. They would only require an order from the judge if the priest or bishop in charge refused to authorise the search. It has also been suggested that police want to search a cemetery beside the church and to excavate roads where sewers were being replaced at the time of Madeleine’s disappearance.

Who is revealing details about scientific evidence?

By law Portuguese police are prevented from revealing details of investigations. However, some officers have been secretly briefing Portuguese journalists.

What scientific evidence have police collected?

In a briefings on Monday night detectives said that they found traces of “bodily fluids” in the car which had probably come from Madeleine with a large amount of Madeleine’s hair in the boot of the car.

Why are the “bodily fluids” significant?

When pathologists refer to bodily fluids they usually mean the putrefying substance created during the decomposition of a body tissue and blood. This “fluid” is evidence that a corpse has been present, but DNA samples are required to identify the body. It is unclear what “fluids” have been found. It might be traces of urine, dried blood or vomit, which would not conclusively prove Madeleine had died.

Does a large quantity of hair prove that Madeleine’s body was in the car?

No. The hair must show evidence that it came from a decomposing body. Other hair could be “transmitted” from items of Madeleine’s clothing and belongings.

Is anyone else confirming these reports?

Sources in Britain who are assisting the Portuguese investigation have agreed that there is “significant” scientific evidence linking Mr and Mrs McCann to their daughter’s death. However, Portuguese officers took the highly unusual step of publicly denying a report which was allegedly based on sources in Britain.

Does the scientific evidence prove that Madeleine was killed?

Because the samples have degraded over time the scientists can never be 100 per cent certain that they came from Madeleine.

Do Portuguese detectives think there is enough evidence to secure a conviction?

Senior officers now believe they have sufficient evidence to charge Kate and Gerry McCann for concealing a body and probably to convict Mrs McCann with accidentally killing her daughter. However, they privately admitted earlier this week that they still could not prove that Madeleine was intentionally killed.

What happened in the four hours before Madeleine was reported missing?

Kate and Gerry McCann claim that while they dined at a restaurant with friends regular checks were made on Madeleine and their two-year-old twins, Sean and Amelie, at their nearby holiday apartment. Mr McCann told police he saw his daughter asleep at about 9pm. A friend, Matthew Oldfield, entered the apartment at about 9.30pm but did not look in the bedroom Madeleine and the twins were sharing.

It is not known if anyone apart from Mr and Mrs McCann saw Madeleine alive between 6pm and 10pm, when she was reported missing by her mother. The timing is crucial but would be only circumstantial evidence in any prosecution. Although a small child could be killed quickly it would take time to hide a body so that it was not discovered in the biggest search in Portuguese history.

Why did Kate McCann cry out “They’ve taken her?” when she discovered Madeleine missing?

Portuguese police are reported to find it suspicious that Mrs McCann immediately believed that more than one person had taken her daughter. This could suggest that she knew who had taken Madeleine, perhaps people who thought they were helping Mrs McCann by removing her daughter’s body.

Alternatively, it could be an off-the-cuff remark by an hysterical mother or perhaps was misheard or misunderstood in the confusion of the night.

What were the movements of the McCann’s friends on the night Madeleine disappeared?

The McCann family had stayed at the Ocean Club resort with three other British couples and their five children, and a single woman. Russell O’Brien, a doctor from Exeter, left the restaurant for half an hour to look after his own daughter, returning shortly before Madeleine was reported missing.

His wife, Jane Tanner, was the only witness to report a man carrying away child from the McCann’s apartments. There is confusion about when members of the party arrived at the tapas restaurant and left to check on their own sleeping children.

How much alcohol did the McCanns and their friends drink on the evening Madeleine disappeared?

Kate and Gerry McCann and their friends are reported to have told detectives they shared four bottles of wine, with another two barely touched before Madeleine was discovered missing.

However, it is claimed detectives have recovered a bill showing they downed eight bottles of red wine and six white during the afternoon and evening.

Why was Madeleine’s bedroom window and shutter open?

Kate and Gerry McCann told police that the window shutter in Madeleine’s bedroom, which could not been seen from the restaurant, had been forced open.

Police tests showed the heavy metal shutter had not been forced up from the outside, so must have been pulled open from inside the room. Assuming that the abductor entered through the apartment’s unlocked patio windows, why would he or she not leave by the same way or the use the front door?

Or was the window opened to make it appear as if an intruder had used it to enter the bedroom?

Why did Madeleine’s sister and brother sleep through her “abduction”?

Sean and Amelie were heavy sleepers who were not disturbed by their sister’s abduction, claim their parents. However, they also slept through their mother’s hysterical response to Madeleine’s disappearance and the presence of dozens of people who joined the search before being carried out by a female police officer. Kate and Gerry McCann have strenuously denied sedating their daughter.

Why were the McCanns allowed to leave Portugal if they are suspects?

The Portuguese authorities allowed the McCanns to return to the UK after they agreed to reside only at their home in Rothley and to return for further questioning if necessary.

Portugese law states that after someone is declared a suspect, police have eight months to conclude the investigation into that individual. If they require further time officers can apply to the courts for a four-month extension.

If the McCanns refused to comply with a request to return to the Algarve for interview, Portuguese police could issue a European Arrest Warrant under which extradition can be carried out within six weeks.

Why has it taken so long to find the evidence that could implicate Kate and Gerry McCann?

The material was only collected at the end of July and early August in a review of the investigation carried out by Portuguese detectives with the help of British police and two sniffer dogs. Many of the samples are very small, containing just a few cells, while others are of poor quality because of damage by cleaning or simply the passing of time.

A full report of the findings will not be ready for weeks, but many results have already been passed to the Portuguese authorities.

What evidence were police looking for?

Detectives are searching for any evidence that proves Madeleine is dead or contradicts the accounts of Mr and Mrs McCann and other witnesses.

What is the most important new evidence?

It appears the Forensic Science Service believes it has discovered compelling new evidence, possibly from more than one source. Portuguese detectives told Mrs McCann repeatedly that they found traces of Madeleine’s blood in a Renault Scenic hired three weeks after she disappeared, suggesting that the missing girl’s parents used the vehicle to carry her body. It is possible to tell if the blood came from a living person or from a corpse, and even the time of death. However, some reports suggest that the quality of the blood sample was too poor to confirm the origin while others have denied any blood was found in the vehicle and claim it was other “bodily fluids”. Unless a body had been placed in a freezer, it would have badly decomposed during the warm weather; leaving a mass of traces invisible to the human eye.

Does any trace of Madeleine in the hire car prove she was killed?

No. Mr and Mrs McCann hired the car to buy new clothes in the town of Portimão a day before they flew to Rome to see Pope Benedict XVI. They then used it regularly for family outings and to collect friends and relatives from Faro airport. They continued using the car until shortly before flying home yesterday. Kate and Gerry and their two-year-old twins would have often carried in the car items used by Madeleine. These items could easily certainly carry Madeleine’s hair and minute traces of skin, dried blood, saliva and vomit. The same could be said of the holiday apartments used by the McCanns and their friends in the Ocean Club resort. However, if the blood came from Madeleine’s corpse the only other highly unlikely explanation would be that a previous hirer had moved the body.

One report suggested yesterday that Madeleine’s DNA had been found on the floor of the McCanns holiday apartment, but because of degredation it was based on an incomplete picture, with only 15 of the 20 genetic markers usually used for such analysis.

What is the DNA evidence that has supposedly been found by the Portuguese investigators?

Newspapers in Portugal have been reporting that “biological fluids” with an 80 per cent match to Madeleine’s DNA have been found underneath upholstery in the boot of the McCanns’ rented Renault Scenic. Some media reports claimed that another DNA sample with a 100 per cent match to that of Madeleine’s profile had been found in the car.

What would this tell us?

Perhaps nothing. If it was sourced from something such as a hair follicle or skin cells then that could have been one of Madeleine’s hairs that had stuck to the clothes of a family member or her “cuddle cat” toy that her mother carries. If it was from Madeleine’s blood or corpse, that could be more significant. The most important issue is the size of the sample found. If there was a substantial amount of material it is unlikely to be from accidental contamination and would indicate that Madeleine had been in the car.

Can investigators establish if the DNA sample comes from someone who was alive or dead?

Unlikely, according to British experts. A DNA profile does not change just because someone dies. You can tell if DNA has degraded but that can happen if, for example, it had been exposed to sunshine.

Does an 80 per cent match with biological fluids indicate that Madeleine was definitely in the car?

No. The sample will have been tested against a definite sample of Madeleine’s. A 80 per cent match indicates that profilers could find only 16 of the 20 markers usually used for such analysis and suggests that the biological traces are tiny and degraded. Additionally, the twins Sean and Amelie could share a high percentage of DNA characteristics as most siblings do.

What complicates the matter further is that all three of the McCanns’ children were born through IVF and it is unknown whether the couple’s sperm and eggs were used for conception.

What about the discoveries of the “cadaver” sniffer dog?

Mr and Mrs McCann were shown a police video of a sniffer dog used to find corpses “going crazy” when it approached the hire car. Reports also claim that is discovered the scent on the vehicle’s key fob. Mrs McCann is reported to have explained that in her work as locum GP she came into contact with six corpses in the weeks leading up to Algarve holiday.

This seems a high number for a locum GP working just a couple of days a week but would be easy to check against surgery records.

The crucial difficulty with the sniffer dog “evidence” is that it cannot distinguish between corpses. This type of dog is trained to find bodies, not identify where dead bodies have been. Crucially, they can become excited by other scents.

Any evidence of Madeleine’s death on Cuddle Cat?

The cadaver dog is alleged to have become excited when shown Madeleine’s favourite soft pink toy, called Cuddle Cat. The cat had become poignant symbol of a mother’s loss as Kate McCann carried it with her at all time from the night of Madeleine’s disappearance.

She washed it four days after the police tests, claiming it had become dirty. The toy was potentially crucial evidence and should have been seized by police very early in the investigation.

What evidence can be found in Mrs McCann’s Bible?

Mrs McCann, a devout Roman Catholic, claims that police told her that a crumpled page in her Bible was evidence that she was involved in the death of her daughter. The page contained a passage from Samuel II, chapter 12, verses 15-19, which recalls how man’s child is stricken with illness after he “scorns” the Lord.

The man fasts for seven days, refusing to get up off the ground, to try to gain redemption — but eventually his child dies. Mrs McCann claims that detectives told her that damage to the page proved she had been reading it.

Why are the McCanns suspects in their daughter’s killing?

Portuguese police refuse to say why the couple have been made official suspects. Under Portuguese law police can not question someone as if they had committed a crime unless they are a “suspect”. It could simply be that police wanted to ask the couple about the evidence they had collected, and that the seriousness of the process has been misunderstood and exaggerated by cultural and language differences. The McCanns believed that they were about to be charged with Madeleine’s death, but it does not appear police disclosed any crucial evidence to them.

All parties have strenuously denied any wrongdoing

... but WAS a man seen with a little girl in pyjamas?

Good question. We can't necessarily rely on one alleged eye-witness statement. Remember the events of July 22 2005 when an innocent Brazilian was shot at Stockwell tube station. There were a number of supposed eye-witness statements.

1) "He was wearing a thick coat even though it was a warm day." WRONG. He was wearing a light denim jacket.

2) "There were wires sticking out of his clothing." WRONG.

3) "He jumped over the ticket barrier." WRONG. He swiped his Oyster card to get through the barrier. One of the officers shasing him did leap over the barrier so that may be what this "eye-witness" saw.

Similarly, after Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman went missing, a woman insisted she had seen the girls. We now know that she couldn't possibly have seen them because they were already dead by then.

In any investigation like this people will come forward with information. Most - if not all - of them will think they are helping. However, some of them will be providing misleading information.

Hello,

NO Man was seen with a Child in his arms. That 'Sighting' was claimed

by one of the McCann's Friends that night - May 3rd. However the Police no

longer believe that she saw any such thing. She either misread what he was

actually doing, or she made it up - for whatever reason. (Jane Tanner, is

her name, if I recall correctly). She was on her way TO the Tapas Bar, when

she claims she saw the Man - and she says that she never said anything to Kate

& Gerry, (when she got to the Bar), as she never realised it 'Was Madeleine', until

Kate 'found her missing at 10pm'.

1) I believe that the McCann's PROBABLY are guilty of all of this.

2) I believe that Madeleine was killed long before they went to the Tapas Bar

at 8.30/8.40. They had already had plenty of time to hide her body by then,

& no one was watching them, as only when the alarm was raised - 10pm -

did the World start looking.

3) I believe that it was an accident, BUT a German Clinical Psychologist says

that he has studied Gerry's Blog, & their Interviews, since it all began, & he

says that they have some kind of 'Syndrome' that makes them crave attention

& that this Death etc. was PLANNED - well before they even reached Portugal.

4) For example, the Portguese Police have the McCann's 'Phone Records - for

the Apartment, & it is SAID, (not yet confirmed), that they show that the Police were

not called until 10.40pm - BUT, that the McCann's called SKY NEWS at 10.11pm - 30

Minutes before they rang the Police!!!!!!!

IF TRUE - this shows that they are more obsessed with 'Media Attention', than they

were with, 'Trying to get Maddy back'.

5) It is said that when the Police arrived, 9 people had already been all over the

Apartment - contaminating the 'Crime Scene'. These would be the McCann's & their

7 Friends, (The Tapas 7), I should imagine.

6) THE CAR(S)

A) I have heard that the McCann's are now claiming that any 'Evidence' found

in their Hire Car is irelevent - they claim that Robert Murat's Car was being looked at

at the same time, & the Police must have accidently put the Labels for what came out

of his CAR on THEIR (Forensic) 'Bottles', & their 'Bottles' ended up with HIS name on them!

In other words, (IF TRUE!), this is their way to try to make out that their Car was 'Clean',

& his Car has the Evidence in it - but the Labels were accidently switched!!!!!! (IF TRUE

(that they really are claiming this) - & they end up in Court - I would love to see if they

stick with THAT nonsense!).

B) The McCann's have said that after Madeleine vanished, they needed to travel around a lot,

so Friends lent them their Cars. BUT, on May 28th they suddenly Hired their own Car - why?

A Friend of mine came up with an answer - Madeleine had been 'missing' for 25 Days by then,

& they may well have thought that if they put her Body in the Boot, & moved it, (or got

completely rid of it), there was no way that the Police would ever bother examining the Car,

as they had no reason to do so - the McCann's felt that they had 100% convinced the Police

to look for 'An Abductor'. It must have come as quite a shock, when the Police seized their

Car in July or August, & looked for Evidence in it!!!!!! And found some!

BUT, they seem to be planning to make out that it is really from Mr. Murat's Car, & 'The Labels

must have accidently got switched'. (Please tell me - Lord - that even their biggest 'Supporters'

will NOT fall for THAT one!!!).

SEA OR FURNACE

It is my understanding that the Police think that they either dumped her body at Sea, OR,

took it to a local Furnace - to burn it. (There are some in the area).

Yes, it is horrible, & it upsets me very much, as well as making me feel sick & angry,

all at the same time - but this MAY be what those 2 people have done.

The Police seem to think that she accidently overdosed Madeleine, & he helped her

cover it up. The German Psychologist thinks that both of them planned it before they

even reached Portugal, & they killed the Child on purpose - and IF that is true, it

makes me feel like the Earth is falling in on me - it is such an unbearable thing to think.

HOW DID IT HAPPEN - IF AN ACCIDENT?

It is said that in her Diaries, Kate regards Madeleine as 'hyper active', & hard to cope

with.

Gerry went out jogging a lot - or sun bathing.

On May 3rd, Madeleine may have been particularly active, & Kate decided to give her

some Pills - even early evening - to 'get some peace'.

She then went to have a shower, (or to the toilet), & Gerry came into the Apartment, &

saw that Madeleine was still awake, so HE assumed that Kate had not yet given them to her

- & he also gave her a dose. They did not realise this, until they found she had ceased breathing

30 minutes to an Hour or so later - then the 'Cover Up', began.

They then decided to get lots of Media Attention, & it worked so well, that they found they

were enjoying it all - £2.5 Million was offered in Reward Money, over £1 Million to the Madeleine

Fund. There was a Private Jet put at their disposal. Gordon Brown made at least 1 'Phone Call

to them, & assigned Clarence Mitchell - a Government Media Spin Doctor, to go over to help them.

They got to see the Pope, & Gerry went to the USA & met Laura Bush, (The Presidents Wife).

He even got a 'Standing Ovation' off hundreds of UK Police Offivers, when he attended the

Police Bravery Awards - rather silly, when all HE had done was to 'lose' his Daughter, because

he & his Wife left Madeleine & the Toddlers in their Apartment, while they went to the Tapas Bar.

(Or so, Gerry & Kate WANTED the World to believe!).

It was like being in a huge Movie, with Kate & Gerry as 'the Stars'. They must have felt

that they would end up being rich from it all.

They loved the attention, & the UK Media was forever making out that 'Everyone' loved &

supported them - & so, they may well have felt that 'Celebrirty Big Brother', & lots

of TV Chat Shows etc. lay ahead - until they finally started to get forced back to reality

this Week.

Poor Madeleine - she harmed no one. Her Parents can stop pretending to be

'Christians' now - they cannot believe in God, IF they have done this terrible thing.....

That silly Priest in Portugal should try to distance himself from it all - instead he appears on

GMTV etc. still defending them.

Last Monday, their PR Woman read out a Statement from Gerry & Kate, in Portugal, to the

Global Media - just after they had got their Plane back to the UK.

Well SHE has GONE now! She 'Stepped Down' yesterday!

(Justine McGuinness - she failed to become an MP for the

Liberal Democrats at the last General Election).

She obviously realises that all was not as Gerry & Kate said it was.....

Wow that was a pretty interesting read ^ :o Especially your theory about both parents accidently giving her the tablets.
what i find weird though is that the bear the police is asking for, has been washed so many times after she has gone and i dont know about anyone else but if my daughter went missing and all i had was a bear that she loved so much, i would want to keep it in its state that i found it in. i wouldnt wash it without VERY good reason

Tbh I think the bear was all it was, a bear. A symbol of Madeleine, I mean, what evidence could it hold?

Hello,

Cuddle Cat was supposed to been Madeleine's 'Favourite Toy'.

She had it with her 24/7 - according to Gerry & Kate.

On May 3rd, they say that Madeleine was 'Abducted', & Kate was seen

carrying the Toy with her from May 4th onwards, & she was still carrying

it as she walked down the steps of that Jet last Saturday.

In August, Kate told the UK Media that Cuddle Cat had been 'moved' by 'The

Abductor', & placed on a high shelf or cupboard. She did not mention that until

about Day 100 since Madeleine 'vanished'.

It was unclear if she had told the Portuguese Police about it, on May 3rd or 4th.

For some reason it was never Forensically Examined by the Police - even though

the 'Abductor' was supposed to have held it.

What IS clear is that on about May 8th - just 5 Days after Madeleine 'vanished' -

Kate WASHED Cuddle Cat! Despite her claiming that it was always in her

Daughter's arms, & it WOULD have had the Child's 'smell' on it.

She excused this by saying that it had, Sand & Sun Cream on it, & she

wanted to get it clean again.

An unnamed UK Police Officer commented on this in 'The Mirror', on

Thursday, & he said that he was amazed that Kate had washed the Toy,

as he felt that most - if not all - Mother's would have wanted to keep the

Toy just as it was when Madeleine 'vanished' on May 3rd. Basically, if HE

found Kate's behaviour suspicious, other UK Officers would have done so

too - as would the Portuguese Police. (She washed the Toy again in July. She

said it was filthy after she had been carrying it everywhere).

I am afraid that Gerry & Kate have behaved very oddly, by any standards.

NOW, they claim that the UK Press has treated them badly! It has worshipped them!

They just don't like it mentioning Articles in the French etc. Press that Gerry & Kate

would rather that we in the UK knew nothing about - like Sleeping Pill 'Over Doses'

etc.

But, they really cannot make out that our Media has treated them badly. Our

Media became PART of Team McCann, really - it never stopped telling everyone

how 'Strong' Gerry & Kate are. How, 'Decent' & 'Dignified'

How they were 'Not Guilty' & so on. It has bowed to them in a way that I never

ever saw our Media bow to anyone before - we may never know the full truth

as to why. Some say that Gerry & Kate have 'Contacts in high places', & that this

is why Gordon Brown etc. got involved.

An excellent post with some great points made but you contradict youself as on you hand you say the police believe her body was dumped in t e sea or burnt, then how could the McCanns have, 25 days later put her body in their car and move it? It would clearly be impossible if you believe what the police (according to you) are saying. Also you claim no-one would have seen them hide the body simply because it was before she was reported missing. You can't be serious, Praia da Luz is an extremly busy tourist destination, and there is, especially evening/night time loads of people all over the place, so no-one at all seeing them dumping a body would be quite unlikely.

I mean how can you seriously believe Kate, wrote all of that in her diary? I find it extremly hard to believe that she would've actually wrote in her diary that so percisly, and admitted to giving her pills, and then Gerry also giving her pills. If she did, then it is very strange and she would need to be a very stupid individiul to say the very least (also if she did write that then clearly Gerry would'nt be denying giving her an overdose when he knows the police have seen the diary). If the theory of them ringing Sky News before the police is true, then that obviously proves ALOT, who on earth would have Sky News's number while away on holiday to start with? Tbh, there are just so many 'IF' this and 'IF' that to do with this whole case, it's all pure speculation and here-say and nothing concrete, with so little actual evidence that is'nt coming from the media for me to believe it.

Also, where do you get all your information from as I've never heard most of it, and also where have the McCanns said the UK media have treated them badly? Why would they say such a thing when it clearly the opposite. First I've heard of it.

A German Clinical Psychologist says that he has studied Gerry's Blog, & their Interviews, since it all began, & he says that they have some kind of 'Syndrome' that makes them crave attention & that this Death etc. was PLANNED - well before they even reached Portugal.

I think this is the biggest load of rubbish I've ever heard. If they did kill her it would've been purely accidentally.

This is just turning into a really bad EastEnders storyline now. I do think that IF the McCanns killed her (which I'll admit is looking a definite possibility now), it must have been on purpose. I don't think they could've hatched such a watertight plan so quickly if they did it accidentally. But then, that again brings us back to why the hell they'd want to kill her. I still don't see why people think it's so unrealistic she was abducted though, even if not from their apartment - near the beginning of the story, wasn't there something about sniffer dogs catching her scent at the local supermarket or something? I guess she maybe could've wandered out looking for her parents, and then someone stuffed her in their car by there... but then, that does seem unlikely I guess. Who knows.

Hello,

Mr. Macphisto, I was not contradicting myself.

You misunderstood me. I never said that Madeleine was put into the Sea

or burnt on May 3rd. She was put in a TEMPORARY place then. It is EASY

to see how - her body would fit into a large hold all, & Gerry would have

carried it thought the streets - with Kate - until they decided upon a place

to hide the Bag. ('The Times' reported that GERRY had left the Apartment

on May 6th with Buckets & Spades for the Twins, & a SUITCASE(!!!!!) to

go to the Beach - who takes a Suit Case to the Beach? BUT, it COULD fit

a 4 Year olds body in it!).

By May 28th they had a Hire Car, & they THEN took her body to a final place.

The temporary place may simply have been an empty Apartment near to their own.

That is how Madeleine's body was able to be moved - temporarily on the

3rd May, & 6th May, permenantly on May 28th - or soon after - and why her DNA etc.

was in the Boot. They hid her body on 3rd May. Then they had it - for 2 Days in the

Apartment that they moved into, after Madeleine 'vanished', & it LOOKS like he moved

it in a Suit Case on 6th May - to where he & Kate collected it - for final disposal -

on ABOUT 28th May - in the Boot of the Hire Car. They got the Hire Car on 28th May,

but that does not mean that they went out right away to move the body. It was simply

sometime on or after 28th May that they did that.

How they moved it the 3rd - & final time - without being followed by the Press etc.,

I cannot say. However, a Spanish Criminologist has come up with a similar theory as me,

as have other people.

Where was her body on 3rd May - the Day she 'vanished'? Maybe it was simply in one

of the Suit Cases & Hold Alls that the McCann's had with them. The McCann's moved out of

the Apartment very fast - too upsetting to stay, & the Police had made it a 'Crime Scene'.

Why would the Police look through the McCann's Luggage for Madeleine?

They had told them she'd 'Been Abducted'.

As such, it would never have occured to the Police that her body was still IN the Apartment

- in a Hold All or Suit Case. The McCann's simply walked out with it - with their other

Luggage, to their NEW Apartment.

Indeed, some people speculated that her body was being carried out in their Luggage,

at the time - it just seemed unlikely at the time, as the idea that there was,

'An Abductor', had been firmly planted in most people's minds - including mine,

& only as the Days went by, did the McCann's story start to fall apart.

There were many contradictions in their story, & too many most unusual Posts

on Gerry's Blog.

AFTER Madeleine 'vanished', he wrote more about the PR Campaign than about her.

He spelt her name wrong about 4 or 5 times! Like he did not even care enough

about her to even know how to spell her name!

He went on about how he & Kate had been Jogging, buying new clothes, & so on.

It was very, very odd - almost like the Publicity & attention was all that mattered

- and Madeleine was a poor 2nd. I am 100% sure that UK Police, Psychiatrists,

& Psychologists have studied his bizarre writings - just as the Portuguese Police

will have done......

SOME people feel that on 3rd May they hid her body in the CHURCH - and that would

mean that his Suit Case was EMPTY on 6th May, & he needed it to collect her body from

the Church, to move it elsewhere - on/after 28th May. Whatever the truth, he moved her

body, by acting cool, & by the fact that he was not under much suspicion on either 3rd May,

or the 6th. It is the 28th May move/disposal - using the Hire Car - that was the most tricky.....

Jark, the Clinical Psychologist is at Cologne University, in Germany,

I believe. What he has written is very well thought out. Everyone I know who has read

it thinks so. A French Psychologist has come up with a very similar theory.

We will see - eventually - what UK Psychiatrists & Psychologists thought of

Gerry & Kate's behaviour. I do know that British Police have studied hundreds of

hours of Interviews that the McCann's have given, & how they have behaved

in Public & so on - to get a Police Profile on them for the Portuguese Police -

to assist them. (The FBI sometimes help the UK or Canadian Police in similar ways).

However, I disagree with the 'Theory. But, it is NOT the

'biggest load of rubbish' you have ever heard Jark - that HAS to be the c**p

that Team McCann come out with!

It is scary how many people fell for it - wanted to believe in the 'Golden Couple',

& everything they said.....We will now see what will happen to end all of this

- the Gerry & Kate Show is coming to an end, before too long. UNLESS they are

never Charged - not enough evidence - in which case they will be forever in the

Press & on TV, as the 'Golden Couple' again - pass the sick bag!!!!!

I've just come back from 2 weeks in beautiful Portugal - and it's startling the different angle this story is given over there.

Far from the shameful slurs thrown at both the Portuguese press and police, it's obvious that this whole enquiry has been conducted fairly, with the utmost care and attention, and without the unwanted interference of the media. They totally shut themselves away from the public glare and actually investigate. Thoroughly. It's how the Portuguese police conduct things - and who the hell are we to tell them otherwise? Yes, it's different to how we attempt to solve cases - but with the colossal amount of crimes unsolved in the UK and an increasingly flaccid police force conducting investigations in the UK - shouldn't we be questioning exactly WHO is getting things wrong here?

The McCanns have always made me feel uneasy - and the very fact they left their kids unatended in an unlocked room in a foreign country is shocking enough. Any parent as blase about their children's safety as these 2 obviously are... well, surely anything is possible.

If they are guilty - quite how they managed to dispose of their child's body without being followed by the press is anyone's guess. But where there's a will there's a way.
