September 12, 200717 yr Very good performance on the whole by England. They were very sloppy with posession at times though and had Russia been on trarget with their efforts it might have been a different score tonight. Still, Heskey was great and Barry was MOTM in my opinion. I just hope McLaren sees his senses and doesn't drop either of those 2 players for the next set of games, and today it's been more obvious than ever that Lampard and Gerrard don't work as a partnership in the centre of midfield because they're both too similar players.
September 12, 200717 yr Fourth 3-0 victory in a row. Absolutely brilliant again. Emile Heskey could well be the person we need, he won absolutely everything in the air tonight and not given away a single foul unlike Peter "always hug the opposing player whilst attempting to win a header" Crouch. Barry - fantastic again, 2 great goals from Owen, 5 in 4 - he's a class act. One criticism, SWP - as good as he is with his pace and his tireless effort, his crossing really is absolutely DREADFUL. I'd keep Barry, Heskey and Richards ahead of Lamps, Hargreaves, Rooney, Crouch and Neville but I think I'd have Becks, we need atleast SOME service
September 12, 200717 yr Second half was a bit flat in my opinion, England were a bit sloppy at the start of the second half, but an enjoyable game in the first half. At least they got the results they wanted out of the 2 games. Now they need to keep their formation, as they look stronger and better without Beckham. I think Stephen Gerrard has been eating too many pork pies, he looks overweight and very unfit. P.S. they need to keep Heskey in the team.
September 12, 200717 yr Author And Scotland WIN! :D COME ON!!! Don't let the French qualify! Scotland are now the 2nd best team in the world. They have beaten france twice and lost to italy lol therefore they would of come 2nd at the world cup last year!! It is true and you know it!!! I hope Scotland can carry on their luck against the Ukraine and Italy when they come to hamdem
September 12, 200717 yr key game to England's qualification = playing Russia on a Tesco carrier bag surface in Moscow. I'm surprised FIFA haven't said anything, then again anything to stop the English FIFA will support -_- Also Croatia is going to be even tougher than tonight's game and could be very critical if things don't go to plan in Russia. and come on Scotland :funky:
September 12, 200717 yr France are not the team they used to be, they lack something, I hope Italy and Scotland go through. I didn't know Greece had to qualify to get through as they won the European cup last time, I thought it was an automatic qualification for them.

But I also think if I recall correctly Brazil had to qualify for last year's World Cup too.

The European champions have never qualified automatically - at least since the tournament has had its current format.
