EastEnders just aren't very good with these multiracial families,,,,,,i agree WITH THIS THEY NEVER SEEM TO WORK ON SCREEN AND MASOODS LOOK TO BE NO DIFFERENT AT ALL

The Masood's are fantastic, and everyone bums them over at DigitalSpy.

I don't think there bad at all.

Great epsiode, the ending brought a tear to my eye, June is an exceptional actress

It was an amazing episode. June deserves all the praise she is getting for that. Not many actors in soap could pull off 30 minutes all by themselves. It was remarkable. Anyone who denies June's acting ability is just plain delusional after that.

I enjoyed tonights episode as well, this Clare could be interesting.

I thought Dot's episode was rather dull :o Good in a way but boring in another.

Is Hazel going out of Eastenders?

Is Hazel going out of Eastenders?

Yes, but she returns in a couple of weeks..

Dot's single episode was great it was well scrpted and well acted but i did find parts of it boring,June is a fantastic actress and does deserve more awards,i like calire already i think she is eaxctly what the square needs right now and heather dancing around the launderette to spice up your life was brilliant

Being generous with the word 'dull' aren't you Simon - I thought it was awful! Was she trying to cheer Jim up with her cassette message .... Christ - why didn't she finish it off with a Leonard Cohen song? Her Albert Steptoe impression was as solid as ever though!

i wonder what ratings the single Dot episode got

It lost them 1million viewers was something like 8.0

EastEnders' single-hander episode featuring Dot Branning was watched by 8.7 million viewers on Thursday night.

It was down on the previous week's figures for EastEnders, when the soap achieved an audience of 9.4 million - a 43 per cent share. It was EastEnders' worst Thursday viewing share since November.

You continuously harp on about your dislike of Dot, yet you watched a 30 minute episode of nothing but her on her own. How truly baffling.

As for the ratings drop, it is hardly a suprise. An women in her 80's talking into a tape recorder is hardly going to hold the attention of all those people with short-attention spans who just want slap-stick comedy all the time now is it?

The fact that is got an average of as high as near 9m is actually suprising, as I would've expected loads to switch off after a while which would've dented the average.

the ratings are good as really only die hard fans would watch an episode like that, regardless of people liking or disliking Dot no one can take away how well she handled an acted out a full episode on her own and she deserves cred it for that

andi agree for peopple who dont like Dot/EastNders why sit through a full half hour when there are many other channels to watch,i know i certainly dont sit through a half an hour of any tv that i dont like

CHEATED Tanya Branning will shock East-Enders fans by burying ALIVE hubby Max.

The mum of three, played by actress Jo Joyner, takes revenge — in an stunning storyline — for the love-rat bedding his daughter-in-law.

Weeks of scheming will culminate in Tanya seducing Max and then drugging him — before placing him in a coffin and burying it in woods.

Bosses of the BBC soap are certain to come under fire for showing the scenes, which will go out at Easter, before the 9pm watershed.

The moment Max (Jake Wood) had his affair with Stacey (Lacey Turner) uncovered attracted 14 million viewers on Christmas Day — the highest ratings of 2007.

A BBC source added: “Viewers will have to wait to find out whether Max lives or dies.”

The couple’s relationship will nosedive as they battle over custody of their children.

Jo, 29, said: “Tanya is worried Max could take the kids.

“He’s capable of being nasty to get what he wants. He disgusts Tanya, she doesn’t want him back — and feels he is out to hurt her because of that.”

Max is appalled when Tanya’s drug-addict sister Rainey moves in with his family — and he reports his wife to social services.

He claims the kids — Abi, Lauren and baby Oscar — are at risk from dirty needles.

Meanwhile, Stacey tries to rebuild her shattered marriage to Max’s son Bradley (Charlie Clements).
