He has 3 singles out from the album...Home....It's not over...and

'over you'!

They sure derserves it - I got the album early this year on import - in just one word - BRILLIANT

 

Typical of the UK music scene No Promotion - not even for the singles

One if his singles - HOME - was used on last season's American Idol

 

If it's US music it has to be mainly urban c**p before the UK gives them promotion.

US rock bands get little promotion over here - look at another brilliant rock band NICKELBACK.

His album is quite good IMO, good to see him selling more than all the other contestants from AI season 5 (and eight of the top nine has released an album). Daughtry's album is now in the US the third biggest seller among the AI alumni. Carrie Underwood has sold almost 6m Some Hearts and Kelly Clarkson around 5.8m Breakaway. I cannot see Daughtry coming even close to those figures but breaking 3m is still quite an achievement.

The album is good, they really deserve it.

i had a lil re-listen to the album yesterday. and it reminded me what a truly amazing rock album it is.

It doesn't surprise me, he has a wide fanbase.

Chris was in a heavy rock band called 'absent element' before

going on the show-AI....His wife Deanna is who pushed him

into going on the show...when Chris was eliminated at 4th

place on the show...Everyone cried fowl!! :angry:

No one on there was better then Chris...so there were many

angry ppl...still to this day journalists make sure we all

know that the last 3 performers havent done anything

at all in selling their new albums and Chris going 3x in the

US proves he was the best!! -_-

RCA signed him up but he stayed with a rock band...no

pop music for Chris Daughtry!! He wrote all his songs!

Slash is featured on guitar in the song 'What I Want'

on the album also! :D

LOL Supreme! I bet we could have a battle of the Daughtry trivia. you up for it? Cause I could go all day and all year.

 

Daughtry is made up of 5 members.

Chris Daughtry - lead vocals and guitar

Josh Steely - lead guitar, and owner of "The Den" a rocker fashion store in California

Josh Paul - bass player, formerly of suicidal tendencies.

Joey Barnes - percussion, piano, and backup vocals. Joey is so talented! And he's the only single one in the group.

Brian Craddock - rythnm guitar, songwriter. Brian replaced Jeremy Brady before the tour began.

 

I love Absent Element. Heavy rock. Daughtry is alot lower key with a blend of pop/rock as their genre although "Home" is also played in the Country and Christian music radio stations.

 

Daughtry is just wrapping up a summer tour. They are off to Europe in the middle of October to promote their album there. If anyone needs tour dates for Europe, I have all of them.

Joey sure is a kick ass drummer.

This is a video of Joey beating his drums to their hit single "It's Not Over"

 

He beats the c**p out of those sticks and then gives them to special fans at the end of the show. I have yet to get one, but I'm hoping someday Joey will walk up to the edge of the stage and hand one to "redhead" ha ha.....a girl can wish, right?

I just luv him! Oh I got to hang with him in St Pete for awhile after a show one night. Well, mostly Joey, but Brian and Steely were there too. They are all great guys.
