Gallaghers call end to Blur feud

Liam and Noel Gallagher have decided to end their longstanding feud with rival Britpop group Blur and its frontman Damon Albarn.

 

The Oasis duo were chart rivals with Albarn's group in the 1990s, a war which came to a head when they both released a single on the same day, resulting in Blur's 'Country House' beating Oasis song 'Roll With It' in 1995.

 

Although unkind words have still been exchanged between the rival song-makers, Liam Gallagher has now tried to bury the hatchet with Albarn, telling Mojo: "I don't mind Blur. I'm over it (the rivalry). It was a laugh man, that's what you do when you're young.

 

"When I see Damon Albarn, I buzz off him. If I was still caught up in it now I'd be a right w**ker."

 

His brother Noel also praised the musician earlier this year and tried to show his respect for his work, telling NME: "You know Damon, bless him, I've got a lot of respect for him. This never comes across in interviews, but I really do mean it.

 

"Because I'm indifferent to Damon, he thinks that I think he's a c**t. Our Liam will talk to him. I won't because he's just another singer in a band to me, but I don't think he's a c**t. Good luck to him."

 

"I hope the four get together to come up with some new material, because the music scene has been poorer without them."

 

Any Comments with regards the Gallagher's comments?

 

About time to be honest, although i wasn't really into much music when all this was going on, so im not in the best position to comment, apart from bits i've seen on TV Documentaries and stuff :lol:

Didn't they call an end to it years ago though? Or did they not mean it? :lol:

I hate them both. I like some Oasis songs, but their just $h!t compared to Blur.

 

 

Excuse me for not being around during the Britpop days, or even being British for that matter, but I'm pretty sure that Oasis vs. Blur battle ended over a decade ago, and Noel and Liam are still talking about it? Talk about living in the past.

And yeah, I'm totally with Krawley, talk about living in the past ffs..... The Gallaghers are such fukkin tools, I doubt whether Damon or Alex could even care less anymore about the whole "Britpop" wars.....
