Sheffield band have new release planned for December

 

Arctic Monkeys are set to release 'Teddy Picker' as their next single.

 

The track, taken from album 'Favourite Worst Nightmare', is out on December 3.

 

The release ties in with the band's winter tour. They play:

 

London Alexandra Palace (December 8 & 9)

Manchester Central (11 & 12) (formerly G-Mex)

Aberdeen AECC (14 & 15)

Not coming out 12th November then! :o The should have not left it this long it'll be what like 5 months since FA was released by the time Teddy Picker is? :lol: I guuess it's good marketing though with the tour, means the single might peak very highly if they play a B-side or something on tour...

I dunno whether it will.

 

Radio airplay should start within the next 2 weeks or so, and Zane Lowe's already started playing the track the odd time so that should help the album become a bit more stable for a while. It's still selling about 4k every week roughly although within the next few weeks sales should begin to rise a little bit and lots of new albums will be released.

Christmas will be an important time..

 

If Teddy Picker is Top 20 and FWN Top 10 by Christmas, It will realy boost their sales

 

Hope the album gets 3x Platinum by the end of the year ^_^

I expect the single will go possibly Top5 tbh. Maybe i'm being too optimistic but I think they've timed the single release well with the tour.

 

I doubt the album will go Top10 though, maybe Top20 at push, but I guess we'll just see.

True. :o By them releasing in December it gives time for the big comeback singles and stuff to appear and by the time "Teddy Picker" is released all the big comebacks singles should have been released and the majority of the hype will have disappeared. ^_^

Get completely lost in the high profile run up to Christmas. Or be a decent hit, and make the album sell alot more.

I hope it is too, and I think it will be.

 

Arctic Monkeys have a fan base and I think that'll be crucial for the single to do well. ^_^ It should go Top10 with ease I think, anything higher than #10 would be great! ^_^ I just hope it achieves a Top10 placing and they it helps the album shift a few more copies.
