It's likely to rise then throughout the week, so it should just be out of the Top75 at the end of the week. ^_^

It definitely should. It's one of the top 3 best tracks on the album - pretty much their entire fanbase was either pushing for that or Old Yellow Bricks to be released as a single. But either way, their single tracklistings are always amazing: especially the current one for Teddy Picker & the limited editions of the new tracks! :yahoo:

The single's falling down the iTunes chart now...

 

But I think that's because of all the Christmas songs that are appearing. :P I'm looking forward to tomorrows mids to seeing how the track is performing! I *hope* it's Top10.

As Teddy Picker is the third single to be taken from Favourite Worst Nightmare, it's a fair bet that most people who want to buy this will already own it, but a new single from Sheffield's finest foursome is always good news.

 

The release date of December is no coincidence either - for the last few years, the Christmas Number One spot has been annexed by whoever has just won The X Factor, so who better than Alex Turner to turn a beady eye on such a phenomena? Teddy Picker is the usual spiky, catchy guitar tune with some devastatingly acerbic lyrics about pop wannabes.

 

Turner really is on top form here, singing of "the desperation to be seen", kids who "dream of making it...whatever that means" and even throwing in a second Duran Duran reference on the line "I don't want your prayer, save it for the morning after". Excellent stuff, and if Leon, Rhydian or Same Difference do make that number one spot this year, they could do a lot worse than listen to this cautionary tale.

Will be lucky to be Top20 methinks! Hopefully though, the tour can prolong the single a bit.

 

Still considering they've done no promo, and had minimal airplay and TV play it's quite a good position. ^_^

I was fearing worse, tbh, so top 15 is pretty good!

i thought that the AM's fanbase was stronger...i mean they offer us 3 new tracks...
