October 3, 200717 yr ill be tapeing it as im out... but as a jeremy kyle viewer im expecting this to be merciless in its p*** taking of him! The more merciless the better....
October 4, 200717 yr I was in the audience when they filmed the pilot episode (the DNA test one). Jennifer is fab, I got to meet her briefly too. :D
October 4, 200717 yr Author :o I went filming of the pilot too, not the morning....but the less entertaining afternoon bit  I briefly got to meet Fern Britton <_<
October 5, 200717 yr yep, very funny, and got jezza kyle dont to a tee!!! lol... but the best person there was MIRANDA RICHARDSON! (often in blackadder and played 'queenie' in blackadder2) her portrayal as this producer woman was BRILLIANT, though id expect nothing less off her. IMHO she is our best actress, forget wrinkly miren, or 'glamour' pusses like zeta jones :puke2: or kate bekinsale, miranda richardson has a well impressive portfolio of superb parts (often as a with, like in merlin, or sleepy hollow) but i like her best in comedy roles. :) shes bloody good looking too for a woman nearing 50!
October 5, 200717 yr I was disappointed in the whole show - whilst the idea is fantastic - the script was awful... no laugh-out-loud moments - and a faint whiff that we've seen all this "sending up the industry" stuff done (to death) in Ab Fab. As one reviewer said today... it's "Floprah Winfrey". And Rob... Miranda Richardson? Sheeeesh... she's a hammy old broad - I thought she was absolutely chronic in the show last night - the poor gal never ever fails to over-over-overact every single thing she stars in. I'm a die-hard Black Adder hater, too, so her appearance in that doesn't sway me a bit. What with these dreadful French and Saunders Friday shows now on (who did the editing on these? Stevie Wonder?) - all punchlines, no gags.... even the classic old sketches cut to miserable ribbons - and the new ones (bar the brilliant Amy Winehouse last week) all falling flat as a witch's tit.... I have a sad feeling the creative genius that was both Jennifer Saunders and Dawn French has died a death.
October 5, 200717 yr disappointed!! i agree ^^^. it was hit and miss. it was too obvious the writing could have been better. the only part i laughed out loud was the clapping part when they entered her home, it was subtle but very funny!! also the titles of the show when fern britton said "whore" lol. jennifer didn't do the annoying "look at me" line that jeremy does all the time with his guests. i was waiting for that. but its the first episode i hope it gets better.
October 5, 200717 yr Author I've read mixed reviews about it, but personally I thought it was great...As with the first episode of anything its finding its feet....hopefully people will stick with it. Miranda Richardson....I thought...was good...as was the rest of the cast. I'd much prefer to see a second series of this, even on only seeing the first episode...than another series of Jam and Jerusalem....which is currently filiming  I agree that the editing of the French and Saunders retrospective is awful.....and for a send off....20 years at the BBC they deserved better. Apparently the BBC have pulled the final episode of this TRIBUTE series, in favour of Have I got news for you anyway......a fine send off indeed
October 5, 200717 yr . I'm a die-hard Black Adder hater, too, so her appearance in that doesn't sway me a bit. oh my god! HERETIC! lol.. i loved blackadder and miranda as queenie was utterly brilliant!... i love p*** take ott characters like that (and the cast of 'the young ones' too), clownery, buffoonery.. blackadder was one of the best, most intelligently written and best acted comedies ever..
