If you were a true Sugababes fan than surely you must see that they did follow the crowd with 'Sweet 7', and that the era was a flop. Even I see that, and I am a huge fan.

 

Phil closed the thread because you were constantly continuing the discussion which would be bound to get out of hand after a while, so he done the clever thing.

Nah, see now SugababesHQ on twitter have confirmed my status as a 'real fan' given that i have every single and every album the band has released across it's 4 line up's and i have all the solo material.

 

I have never stated myself to be wholly against the new line up actually and have given them a chance on the basis of Crash and Burn being rather good. So i suggest you know what the fuck you are on about before you speak to a moderator like that.

 

 

 

I listed my reasons for closing the thread in the thread. But i'll go over them again here, just for you!

 

1] There is no basis for discussion. The era was a flop, everyone but you can see that. There's only so many times the same thing can be reposted

2] The conflict you started and kept going.

3] I had considered closing it right off the bat because of point 1. The thread had no need to be in existence, the era flopped end of discussion. I had allowed it to stay open as there had been no conflict and it would have just been forgotten about and drifted onto the next page eventually without any fuss. You came along and started an argument and as a result the thread was closed.

I think it just proves that the quality of music tends to be on par with the "quality" of fans. Before Sweet 7 we didn't have so many loons, pretty much 95% of the fans were mature and calm. They weren't even exactly the "fans" in the meaning of screaming over the next new pic and dissing the other girl-groups only just because. We, as fans, listened to the music, bought their records, went to gigs (if possible) - nothing pretty shouty and over the top. Now even on this forum we have plenty of childish loons and sometimes I even feel pretty embarrassed to be a 4.0 follower.

Wow you lot are incredibly rude. I am a Sugababes fan and am being attacked by fellow Sugababes fans. LOL we are supposed to stand together especially after the 4.0 fiasco. Our girl group needs us :(

I'm all for being a fan and I like 4.0, but you are getting a little bit extreme.

 

What they need are good songs and to go back to what they used to do best - make awesome tunes!

I disagree. Sweet 7 had lots of brilliant tunes on it up there with the group's best. 'Wait For You' is my favourite Sugababes song EVER. Criminal it was not released, would have saved the album! :(

And Sweet 7 was a steaming pile of shite. Wait For You being one of the worst things the band has ever done in Jade form. Her vocals do not suit it, and there is absolutely no emotion.

 

She has a great technical voice, but my TV has more emotion than Jade does.

Wait For You is probably my favourite album track from Sweet 7, prefered Keisha's version, don't dislike Jade's either ^_^

'Wait for you' is rather nice indeed. :) 'She's a Mess' is still a highlight from the album! :D

 

I wouldn't have much against the Sweet 7 era if it wasn't so diabolically personality-less. Everyone could sing this album and maybe could do it even better! And this "generic girlband" image with "sexy" pull-off. Sugababes are about music, not about the dress (or its lack), image, teenage magazines gossip, perfume or whatever else. Hopefully they'll get back to this "music is the preference" scheme.
