It will be the first album since the 'Smile' singer's debut Alright Still. She has spent the last couple of weeks in a studio in the Cotswolds recording new material. She said that the new album will be a "different musical direction and really quite exciting". Allen also revealed on her MySpace page that she has been discussing fronting a new television show. Earlier this month it was revealed that she would be making her acting debut in a spoof Pride and Prejudice alongside comedian Russell Brand, playing the part of Lydia Bennet. From DigitalSpy.Com
