October 10, 200717 yr I was initially very disappointed, but it's beginning to grow on me now... It should be #1, unless Britney keeps her off in her second week, or Spice Girls grab it on downloads alone. A bit of a tricky week really, but she stands a chance of getting her 8th #1. :D
October 10, 200717 yr Its bloody awful, although i know its going to number 1 only because its her, i still voted top 10 though.
October 10, 200717 yr It's very Goldfrapp sounding but it just doesn't have a good enough feel to it to me, top 5.
October 10, 200717 yr the video is on youtube, surefire number one, very different, but refreshing JziO21iwcxk I'll buy it because it's her, and surely it will be #1, but IMO it's far from her best work.
October 10, 200717 yr :( As a massive Kylie fan i was expecting something better than this. I,ve loved everything she's done so far, but not this. But - It'll probably grow on me with a few more listens. :) I hope so, too...
October 10, 200717 yr I'm not going to vote. I'd say it will get to number one but it doesn't deserve to. I didn't like Leona Lewis's song - but if someone put a gun to my head and said I had to buy one - I'd buy Leona's. And I really like Kylie - but this is awful. I don't even like the video. And whatever the Spices do ... it's got to be better than this. Kathy Edited October 10, 200717 yr by kathyp
October 10, 200717 yr I found some of us here being disappointed because it's nothing like disco-pop, but it's heavy eletro-pop with some disco element. ^_^ The pseudo glam-rock worked for Goldfrapp, but I don't think it works well for Kylie.
October 10, 200717 yr Top 5, at number 2. It'll be her first lead single this decade not to get to #1. And it's disappointing.
October 10, 200717 yr The video seems quite cool but as I said when I saw the album cover for X it IS very Alison Goldfrapp and that has seemingly transitioned into the music and video as well as the cover. Not awful, but nowhere near her best. My favourite Kylie track is Confide In Me.
October 10, 200717 yr It's alright, but it's not classic Kylie. I prefer disco kylie to be honest. If she's going up against some big names i don't think she'll get to No.1, but i think she'll easily go Top 3 just because she's Kylie.
October 10, 200717 yr Hmm, not what I was expecting tbh. I thought it would be a huge big pop/dance song that from the first listen you just knew it would be massive. It sounds very average to me, although it will probebly grow. Still most likely #1 though.
October 10, 200717 yr #2. I seriously think Britney Spears - Gimme More will hold it off for a 2nd week (possibly third if she can outsell Westlife on downloads only). It's a good track, but I can't get over the blatant theft of ripping off (Alison) Goldfrapp. Ctt4gs1G470 Goldfrapp - Strict Machine (2003) I can't wait to see russt's comments..... I guess that what puts her behind the likes of Madonna (& in the 1970s/early 1980s - David Bowie), at least they "appropriated" new "underground" sounds within 18 months to make them popular, not leave it to nearly 5 years to do this sort of thing.
October 10, 200717 yr Yes, I thought of that song straight away, it is so similar  I've listened to the track a few times now, and it just seems like an ok album track, that is a little too repetivie, but not a huge comeback song that is up there with CGYOOMH like The Newt said. I am quite suprised to see it was written and produced by the electro group Kish Mauve. I would've thought she would've co-wrote it seeing as it's her big comeback. Also, very odd that the vid was released the same day as the song. Very rarely does that happen
October 10, 200717 yr I don't think it sounds THAT similar to Goldfrapp, it's not quite that electro.
October 10, 200717 yr I still think she go to #1 though, taking all the comments on board, its not her best, but I reckon she do well with it
