Posted October 14, 200717 yr If I Never See Your Face Again The album opener sees one of the more rockier sides of the album. This song gives a full comparison of what is to come on the album. The chorus gives you a memorable few lines where Adam Levine’s voice is at its best and the repetitive bridge becomes addictive and is possibly the best part of the song. Makes Me Wonder This upbeat gem was the first single released from the album. The song is very individual and therefore stands out on the album. The continual uptempo beat is something you never tire of. Whilst the chorus is widely considered to feature one of the best lyrics ever, “I still don't have the reason and you don't have the time so it really makes me wonder if you ever gave a f*** about me” Little Of Your Time This is possibly the rockiest song on the album. As soon as the song starts, there is no going back, it flies through and is just 2:17 long. Each verse is brilliant in its own way as it has the rocky, electrifying feel and keeps to the storming beat. The chorus is the only breather in the song as it slightly calms things down and still gives you that soothing essence. Wake Up Call This was the second single from the album and was been highly regarded as controversial as it mentions lies, cheating and death. This is all shown through and astounding video. This is another slightly rocky song on the album however it takes each line at a slower pace than the likes of 'Little Of Your Time” yet still draws you in with its infectious lyrics. Won't Go Home Without You This song comes across as a sentimental love ballad which takes the place of 'She Will Be Loved” from Maroon 5’s previous album. The song constantly keeps the slow yet beautiful beat and shows the more sensitive side of Adam Levine. Won’t Go Home Without You explains the story of someone who is in love and they won’t give up until they get the girl of their dreams. Nothing Lasts Forever This is another beautiful love ballad however unlike 'Won't Go Home Without You” this sees the breaking up aspect of the relationship. The meaning of the song plays on your mind throughout as the lyrics fit perfectly together. Towards the end of the song, you become incredibly gripped that it can even bring a tear to your eye because the chorus because so powerful. Can't Stop Can't Stop begins as another electrifying rocky song yet as it progresses it loses its feel. However all is regained when you reach the incredibly loud chorus which somehow draws you into the song. Similarly to 'Little Of Your Time' the song passes exceedingly quickly and as soon as things start to become exciting, you reach the climax at just 2:32. Goodnight Goodnight This is yet another ballad that features on the album however it is different to the others as it is more diverse. The beat and the majority of the song is fairly forgettable however it appears to be an attempt at something different which hasn't necessarily gone wrong. Nonetheless this is another heartfelt song which brings a tear to your eye. Not Falling Apart Not Falling Apart begins very quiet and is very lack luster and unfortunately this continues throughout the song in each verse. However the beat is acceptable as it remains steady, the only thing that sticks out from the song is the chorus. The chorus is interesting and furthermore lives up to your expectations and everything else on the album. Kiwi The irregular titled Kiwi is a slow starter but once you get into the song there is no going back. Kiwi is unlike any other song on the album as it brings a different beat and a different texture to Adam Levine’s voice. Plus you can hear a small amount of vocals from someone else in the background (most likely a female singer). Kiwi is remembered for its unusual lyrics such as 'Sweet kiwi, your juices dripping down my chin' and its astounding guitar riff. Better That We Break Better That We Break is another ballad which obviously takes the aspect of breaking up and the central point of the song. Unfortunately the song doesn't really pick up or go anywhere, so it will just be remember for its slow pace and will a song that people only ever sway along to. Back At Your Door Back At Your Door quite literally makes you wonder why it is on the album. It starts sounding very much like a swing song and continues this way. The individual sound makes the song stand out on the album however not necessarily in a good way. But on the other hand is shows Maroon 5’s diversity and capability and therefore is definitely an unforgettable gem. Infatuation This is the only bonus track on the album. It begins sounding like a jazz song which would appear on a 50’s jukebox. Though the song does a catchy beat and is memorable. It definitely lacks something from the song, most likely the fact that the song doesn't mean anything. It is just verses of words which do not relate to the rest of the song. This song is probably considered as anything but a bonus.
