My fifth Madonna album purchase if you must know. ^_^ Oh and as a sidenote I prefer this album to Confessions, still I suppose R&B is a lot more of my thing than dance so it was to be expected. ^_^

First week sales are disappointing. I thought she will do at least 100k. Let's if she can have strong sales in the next couple of weeks.

Not good at all but let's hope it's a slow burner with the right single choices.

I think there have been low sales when it got to #1 because many people probably pre-ordered off iTunes and HMV, and when you pre-order they don't count towards official sales. :(

Nah, I don't think so! A sale is a sale no matter if it has been pre-ordered or not. I think it was counted to the release week.

Earlier on I didn't know, but I saw that someone saw loads of special editions in HMV. I'm gonna buy that tomorrow! And I don't think the special edition is helping is maybe because no one knows that it is out. :huh:

I know. I think she needs to release songs that they know people like, and when it comes out, it always brings sales up. And I don't think this is an 'American Life Part 2', because it sold more than American Life in it's first week, and all the singles will definitely have longer chart runs. '4 Minutes' will easily out-run them all.

I don't understand either, it's a brilliant album. One of my favourites =D

 

Maybe if she releases the singles in quick sucession it would hang around for longer. She seems to leave such long gaps between singles.
