October 24, 200717 yr #1 most definitely, till the Xmas release, it will do at least 4 weeks, this year's answer to last year's Take That.
October 24, 200717 yr Isn't Kylie releasing her song on downloads that day? I love her but would think this song is more appealing to trad Spice fans than Kylie's song will be to those expecting another Can't get you out of my head. Kylie is a week earlier on physicals or 2 weeks earlier on downloads And welcome to the forum :cheer:
October 24, 200717 yr Thanks Mike, glad to be here. Nice welcome. Reason why I said that cos on both Kylie's site and the Spice site, they both say 5th Nov on downloads.
October 24, 200717 yr The tune to this only involved re-writing the melody to viva forever anyway - and as we all know - that was in the style of a Beatles classic .... NOT! Do yourself a favour Spiceboy and read a proper book instead of celebrity biographies! And I'm sorry ... but none of these girls could write a tune. Hype and 'its for charidee' will get it to number 1 .... but hopefully it'll drop off the radar (along with them) pretty soon after. Kath Well Kath, when Take That (or Girls Aloud, The Sugababes, Westlife, etc) have had 8 US Top 40 Singles & 2 US Top 3 albums then perhaps you can validly criticise the band. The Spice Girls only released 10 original singles which sold over 8 million copies in the UK between them, 9 of which made UK#1 and the other "Stop" was only stopped by a million selling single. None of their singles were covers, indeed none of the songs on any of their three albums were covers. They were all original material co-written by the band. Unlike a certain band you like (who released covers of songs originally done by The Tavares, 100 Ton & Feather, Barry Manilow, Dan Hartman & The Bee Gees) as singles. The Spice Girls were the last great British Pop act to have a significant run of success in the USA, finishing off a run of great British Pop Bands with major success in the USA (including The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Herman Hermits, Dave Clark 5, Hollies, The Who, Bee Gees, Human League, Duran Duran, Culture Club & Wham!). I suspect your jealously is due to the Spice Girls selling out a greater number of gigs far quicker than a certain Man band who reformed minus their most famous member.
October 24, 200717 yr ^^^^ What an amazing post!! I think people are just insanely Bitter. I dont think anyone actually Realises how big the Spice Girls actually were!! Their debut album sold in Excess of 20 Million copies alone.

As usual, TiP hits the nail on the head ^_^

Hope this will shut Kath and her big mouth!

Their debut album sold in Excess of 20 Million copies alone. Exactly. Spice sold 23 million Spiceworld sold nearly 20 million Forever sold around 8 million ( i don't think this one flopped like everyone says) The sales don't even include some places like China or even Pakistan or India where you can't get official sales.

Kath R u stupid, ViVa forever sounds nothing like Headlines.....it is soooooo different. It just goes to show that you don't even have a clue wot ur chattin about. I hear ur a Take that fan and I myself love their new stuff so won't slag em off BUT Take That were a UK hit, Spice girls are a Global Phenomenon. I think Spice girls forever album sold more copies than take that’s entire UK album sales (and that’s saying a lot considering the girls didn't even promote the record).
October 24, 200717 yr #1 because it's the Spice Girls, but I personally think this is really poor. :(

Those Forever Sales are wrong :( Its something like this: Spice: 23 Million SpiceWorld: 17 Million Forever - 2 Million

Yes do cut down on the text talk - or maybe you have no choice (I did have an insult in here but I've edited it out - because I'm nice) Granted - Headlines will make it to number one ... that doesn't stop it from being total and utter SH*TE! And by the way ... before I'd take anyone seriously as a music maker ... they'd at least have to have had the discipline (do you know what that means? Or is it not 'textable' enough?) to learn a musical instrument ... for chrissakes .... none of the Spice Girls can even sing, let alone play an instrument. Just because they hum a tune now and again ... do not put the term 'songwriters' to them ... because that is a plain bloody insult to the likes of Lennon & McCartney, Jeff Lynne, Noel Gallagher, Richard Ashcroft, I could go on and on .... but these are acts that you'd probably dismiss! Kaff! Edited October 24, 200717 yr by kathyp
October 24, 200717 yr Yes do cut down on the text talk - or maybe you have no choice - you're obviously of limited or no intelligence. Kaff! Everyone has Different Opinions. If someone wants to listen to the Spice Girls they can. Just because YOU dont like them and dont think their worthy. Doesnt mean anyone else cant. :| Seriously, this is MUSIC we are talking about. Your acting like he came into your house and pissed on your carpet. Just calm down :|
October 24, 200717 yr Anyone that doesn't say #1 (despite the quality of the track not being excellent) surely has a screw loose. They will be #1 based on their name alone.
October 24, 200717 yr Seriously, this is MUSIC we are talking about. Your acting like he came into your house and pissed on your carpet. Just calm down :| legend! And yes #1 on name alone. Whoever keeps voting top 200 and such in these threads are obviously letting their taste take over the general publics.
