October 27, 200717 yr Author I still think Hope will go the whole hog, a group has never won I reckon Hope, Ryd and Niki will be the final three.
October 27, 200717 yr Dermot wasnt rude at all  he was only joking. Hes really good I think ^_^ Celine's song is pretty rubbish -_- Im so glad Alisha stayed in
October 27, 200717 yr Welcome to Buzzjack, Adam! You make some good points. Cheers mate! I hope I'll have fun here! I must say though my prediction for final three before the lives started appears to be well off. I said Daniel, Emily and Andy. Beginning to doubt if any of them will make it that far. Would not be surprised if it was as Mikey says, Hope, Rhydian and Niki. And as for Dermot, last week I was not impressed at all but I thought he was great this evening!
October 27, 200717 yr Celine Dion was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the person who asked her age - shes 39 and looking amazing I agree, she did a great job despite the technical problems she had. She will do even better next time. The crowd seemed to love it as well and the judges.
October 27, 200717 yr I reckon Hope, Ryd and Niki will be the final three. Or deserve to be, at least. Those three have the strongest vocals and always deliver good performances.

As for the final 3, I agree that Niki, Rhydian and either Hope or FutureProof will be there.
October 27, 200717 yr Hope were awful, why do people like them? The only reason they get votes is cuz they show the flesh.
October 27, 200717 yr I am not overly impressed with Beverly - its like another brenda from the last years show sounds the same too
October 27, 200717 yr Hope were awful, why do people like them? The only reason they get votes is cuz they show the flesh. That isn't entirely true. They do have the vocals to back it all up, unlike some of the other contestants that are "singing" on the show.
October 27, 200717 yr That isn't entirely true. They do have the vocals to back it all up, unlike some of the other contestants that are "singing" on the show. Saying they was awful, is a bit harsh of me. I think they were good last week, but I thought the vocals were well off today. Edited October 27, 200717 yr by Gazza
October 27, 200717 yr Alisha was much better the second time but she needs to really bring it every week otherwise she will be out :(
October 28, 200717 yr When the girls were auditioning at Sharon's house I thought Alisha was the best. She seemed to have a good voice and a kind of unique but really good look. She's been really disappointing so far though on the live shows though.
October 28, 200717 yr OK, enough of my snipping about how X-Factor is not as good as Pop Idol was or SCD is, I've run through the video of last night's X-Factor and here is my analysis: Hope - Lady Marmalade (4 out of 10) The judges gushing comments suggest they are not watching the same thing as me. It was barely alright. But the choreography was not the PussyCat Dolls & the singing was not as good as Girls Aloud. For those of you who thought Hope were great, this is how it should sound & look sung & performed live: WM8QSrrZhNA Leon - Home (4 out of 10) What a surprise Loui Walsh uses this performance as an excuse to promote his band's new single. Saying Leon has no charisma is a bit rich considering he is responsible for Westlife! Like the Irish boyband that was competent, in tune but bland. Beverley - I Have Nothing (5 out of 10) A highly competent take on the Bodyguard soundtrack song, but sung with very little warmth & passion IMHO. And someone needs to sort out her (lack of) eye contact with the cameras. Alisha - I Say A Little Prayer (2 out of 10) What does she look like circa Whitney Houston's How Will I Know video. Awful song choice, sung poorly. I can see why she was in the bottom two last week. She deserves to be there again this week. She appears to be suffering from rabbit in the headlight syndrome big time and it is painful to watch, as I suspect she is much better than this. Same Difference - Breaking Free (6 out of 10) A younger looking H from Steps & Reese Witherspoon looking like the (Richard & Karen) Carpenter, and reminding me of (Daniel & Natasha) Beddingfield with their cheesy chirpy Disney-ness. But this performance is rather good. I thought they were supposed to be awful? And Louis what utter c**p are you talking about. Daniel - Build Me Up Buttercup (3 out of 10) If ever there was a case of wrong song choice, then this is it. Daniel has not got the range for the falsetto parts & his whooping is failing to cover this up, and as for the choreography, oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Daniel has been let down very badly by Louis clueless song choice & if he gets the boot than that is entirely Louis' fault. Rhydian - The Phantom Of The Opera (9 out of 10) Amazing. On this evidence this Welsh popera singer could replace Darius as the most charismatic & slightly bonkers performer on ITV Reality music talent shows. A stunning vocal performance & he owned the stage tonight. Could we be looking at the next Russell Watson? Emily - I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman (2 out of 10) She looks awful. Her vocals were flat & awful. She was completely out of her depth. But you can guarantee the (stupid) GBP will vote to keep her safe. Futureproof - If You Don't Know Me By Now (5 out of 10) That was quite good, reminds me of Blue. But they are just too bland for my liking. Andy - Staying Alive (3 out of 10) What the f...... That was a very strange choice for Andy to sing. You have to be a good singer to command a Bee Gees song. But that was very weak. But no doubt he'll be safe benefiting from the fit bloke vote. Niki - My Heart Will Go On (9 out of 10) Wow... with Celine Dion as a mentor choosing Celine's signature tune was one hell of a risk. But Niki pulled it off big time. She is not as good as Leona Lewis, but she is a really contender to win this year. CONCLUSION: Right now it appears glaringly obvious that the Final three should include Niki, Rhydian & it is transparent that Simon with the help of the other judges are trying to co-erce public opinion to support Hope, who I cynically expect to win, even though Rhydian & Niki are in a class above them. Otherwise on tonight's evidence the standard of this series finalists is very poor, perhaps the worst ever in the 8 series of ITV Pop Reality Talent shows (Popstars, 2x Pop Idol, PopStars:The Rivals & 4x X-Factor). Tonight's show also confirmed to me that getting rid of Kate for Dermot was a huge mistake. At least Kate came across as fair towards all the acts. With Dermot you can tell who is favourites are, and that is not the job of a compere of a talent show. Sharon's instinct to walk last week, are the correct feelings, yet again her acts are not singing good song choices for them. On this evidence her two remaining acts should leave the show before we are down to the final six acts. Louis Walsh is as annoying as ever, but the real star of the show is Dannii, after watching clips of her on Australia's Got Talent I thought she would be good, but her hands on approach to her acts is paying dividends, further highlighting Sharon's inadequacies especially on these live shows.
October 28, 200717 yr I hardly think the judges are trying to force us to like HOPE thats crazy - what was you watching? they were amazing
October 28, 200717 yr Hello, Same Difference. Got envious eyes over your more attractive rivals have you? :o
October 28, 200717 yr I dislike Hope. They were awful last night. I loved their version of Umbrella-ella too. :( Leon is a let down. Celine is right - he has talent but he seems to be being moulded into the 'pretty boy' catergory so I don't like him anymore not after he did that vile song anyway. Nikki is hands down the best there tbh - but tbh I don't think any of them should win
