KT should be top10 :( The song is amazing, and up to her previous hits, so I can see why she's doing so badly :(

Spice Girls are dropping again... What a flop it would have been without the CIN sticker on it :o

yep

Theyll probably get number one single next week after CIN. Leona will sell about 40-50K that week. If SG cant beat that with a CIN single then they might as well give up now.

Question: How is the iTunes Chart calculated?

(This might be a silly question and I apologize in advance if it is, but ...)

Is the iTunes chart a rolling chart, ie, Thursdays numbers represent roughly last Thursday to yesterday, or is it sales from Sunday to yesterday.

I know the iTunes chart is real-time and updates throughout the day, so it's not strictly a 'up to close of business yesterday' sales chart, but I'd like to know if the sales positions I'm looking at today (Thursday) roughly represent the last 7 days or last 4 days.

Again, sorry if the question is stupid :).

From what I can make out it's a last 24 hours chart, updated normally at 3 or 4 hour intervals.

Yes it is daily. The Killers released 'Tranquilize' on a thursday and by sunday chart day it was top 10. If it had been based on the whole weeks sales it would have been top 20 easily, but it made about 51...

Thanks for all the replies regarding calculation of the iTunes Chart :).

If it is daily, it means that for an artist to go Top 5 (on downloads alone) in the chart rundown on Sunday, they would need to be Top 3 on iTunes pretty much all week (in the current climate).

I don't see T2 cracking the Top 5 by Sunday unless they're #1 (combined) on iTunes pretty soon. Top 10, maybe.

Same goes for the Spice Girls - they'll need a miracle to hit the upper echelons of the chart this weekend.

HA at the Spice's

Bloody heck! I bet they can't wait until they've done their song on CIN. I think there can be no doubt now that had it not been for CIN - the song would have sunk long ago.

Oh well girls ... maybe your next single will do better.

When can we expect to see the Spice Girls at the top of iTunes?

Possibly never, I don't think their performance will have helped at all.

I'm wondering if Boyzone will pop up anywhere.

They've just done medley of a few of their hits on CIN.

It was cringeworthy which is arguably better than the Spice Girls dull impersonation of Marcel Marceau.

PS. The Spice Girls are down to #30 on I-Tunes.

I think the Spice Girls sales will pick up next week has the cd is out physically in shops and they have done the performance on CIN which sadly they mimed but it was soooo good too see them together. Also the pictures of them doing the Kodak Theatre for Victoria Secret looked amazing so they are undisputedly the biggest girl band of all time and are definetly not going to sink, so forget about that matey!!!

That's what I meant, will the fangirls start downloading some of those songs now?

Does anyone know what the best selling 'charidee' single has been? Something tells me that the Spice Girls song will probably be one of the worst.

I hope the people who've forked out mega-bucks to see their concerts get their money's worth. Or are they going to get a two hour set of lip-synching! Lets face it - Posh is vocally challenged (even though I'm sure we'll all agree ... she's the one who's brought the money to the table). The only two who can hold a note are Sporty and Baby.
