I'm slightly put off by the very bad reviews by critics although im hoping they are just critical of the fact/ fiction issue rather than the actual film...

Maybe they're critical of the fact that Tom Hanks is unsuitable for playing Langdon.....

i'll reserve judgement on that ;)

Off to see it at 5:45!

Just seen this, after been allowed home early because of exams. Right firstly the film should definitley not be a 12A, because the story is real complicated and I really didn't understand some of the stuff they were saying half the time and i'm 15, so I dunno what 12 year olds or younger would be like.

There is also one mildly disturbing scene in it, and one scene which made me jump quite a bit.

The film however really gets you thinking and I hadn't read the book so I came out of the cinema thinking about what was said. My mum (who has read the book) said that it only really has the main stroy in and misses a lot of the details out of the paintings etc.

I ain't no film critic so I can't comment on how good the acting was etc, but it was a decent film, but not the best film i've seen this year.

i heard the movie is fab. gonna see it soon.
Gonna see it this next week :cheer:

Mr Quinn in the Independent gave it 1 star which is usual for him

however omg he's given a film 4 stars, he doesnt do that much Metropolitan by Whit Stillman. its many years old but its still rating not given out lightly

Saw this earlier this evening, it was pretty awesome, well worth watching.

Does anyone know how long does the film last?

yeah I saw it earlier. The whole day was booked up and im sure the next few will be.

Was an extremely good storyline which I believe should have made an amazing movie. The movie was good and the end was very good but even so I believe it could have been better with the actors involved and the storyline!

Still a very good watch :D

Does anyone know how long does the film last?

2hr 29min

lmao why does that matter

My bf was asking me  I dunno why though

suppose its very important if you wanna do a double!!! and you wanna work out how long you've got between changing over from film to film

and these days since all the trailer time is used up by that making of the honda civic advert thing, how long you've got to miss sitting through it for the 9 millionth time

note to honda:

we've all seen the advert, we know what your car looks like, so can we have some proper ads now please

Saw it today, and didn't know what to expect after the reviews, but I did enjoy it, won't win any oscars but pretty good nonetheless.
so anyone who read the book not gonna see it after reading the reviews (well apart from the mail i think ) who said it was a $h!t book and worse film
Well... it wasn't bad, but I think it could have been done a lot better. That's all I really have to say. I love love love the book, but I'm not overly keen on the film!
My Mam was telling me that critics have panned this.
