I wouldn't count on it, Leona is thrashing them on the Amazon and HMV pre-release bestselling charts. She's #1 in both and I can't even find SG anywhere lol. ;) Edited November 7, 200717 yr by Ethereal
November 7, 200717 yr Spice Girls have next to no chance at the number one next week...they will need a lot of die-hard fans to be honest...I for one already have all of their 1996-2000 singles on Now or other various compilations...and I downloaded Headlines for 79p I certainly wouldn't pay a tenner for the joy of having the songs all in one place and I would think most people will feel the same. On the other hand it could be a good xmas gift but I doubt it will reach No.1...it certainly won't debut at No.1...that will be Leona
November 7, 200717 yr I wouldn't count on it, Leona is thrashing them on the Amazon and HMV pre-release bestselling charts. She's #1 in both and I can't even find SG anywhere lol. ;) I'd assume Rabbit Fur Coat is referring to Led Zeppelin ....
November 7, 200717 yr Leona's album has been number 1 on Play.com's pre-orders for about 2-3 weeks now!
November 7, 200717 yr I'd assume Rabbit Fur Coat is referring to Led Zeppelin .... And I'd assume you're correct  He certainly isn't a Spice Girls fan (and who in their right mind would describe the Spice Girls as "one of the most influential acts of the last 40 years"? ) I thought the Spice Girls GH would be massive, but the closer it gets the more I can see them losing out to Leona.
November 7, 200717 yr I'd assume Rabbit Fur Coat is referring to Led Zeppelin .... Who? Yes, of course I am. Spice Girls? I'd rather Westlife stayed there another week. :puke2:
November 7, 200717 yr Who? Yes, of course I am. Spice Girls? I'd rather Westlife stayed there another week. :puke2: Well it could have been a supremely ironic reference to the Spice Girls ;)
November 8, 200717 yr She's like the Godzilla of the singles chart at the moment, devouring all in her wake: Take That and Oasis crushed by one gigantic stomp of her foot McFly and Britney swatted into orbit with her tail Westlife charred to a cinder in one atomic breath Will Kylie and the Spice Girls be scared away by her roar this week? Leonazilla: Fear Her. ROFLMAO - Best post of the month.

Leona will trounce them, just watch.
November 8, 200717 yr Leona's album has been number 1 on Play.com's pre-orders for about 2-3 weeks now! Thought this may be an interesting point to drop this in. Listen to Gary Barlow at about three minutes. It looks like they listened to him. Norma
November 9, 200717 yr According to the Daily Mirror, Leona is outselling the Spice Girls 6:1 on pre-sales of her album Spirit. Also, Spirit looks like it may overtake the Artic Monkeys as the biggest pre-release of 2007. :o Go girl... :cheer:
November 9, 200717 yr Some stats Fastest selling UK album of all time 1st week sales Oasis Be Here Now 695,761 (released on a Thursday, so thats 3 days sales! Coldplay X&Y 464,471 full week Arctic Monkeys Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not 363,735 (fastest selling debut album) I reckon Leona has a chance of fastest selling debut Album! Although I'd LOVE to see it, I dont think she'll manage nearly 700,000 in 3 days and beat Oasis. (nothing would surprise me though after the huge success of her single) She is almost certain to trounce the SG album wise though.
November 9, 200717 yr I think she is definately going to beat the Spice's now! I had my doubts at the beginning, but she is going from strength to strength!
November 9, 200717 yr The other first week sales she's aiming for from a scattering of ex-reality stars: Hearsay 306,631 G4 244,671 Journey South 216,843 Shayne Ward 201,266. Will Young 187,350
November 9, 200717 yr It's reported that Spices are releasing Sunday now. Even with an extra day's sales Leona should still beat them easily though.
:cheer: qoutes from daily mirror: And the heavy hitter looks set to overtake the Arctic Monkeys' Favourite Worst Nightmare as the biggest selling pre-release of 2007. i love this bit: This is an incredible result for Leona Lewis. When you look at our most pre-ordered artist in previous years, it has been the likes of The Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay and Dido. "These artists went on to sell millions of copies of their albums worldwide.
