God please no, why can't they just f*** off

Their disgraceful cover of The Tide Is High is a crime against humanity

Here's the new single:

Here's the new single:

I'm in a state of shock having heard that because that is a really really good cover of the Cilla Black UK#1 from 1964 and not at all like their excruciating covers of 1980s classics The Tide Is High, Ladies Night & Eternal Flame.

The reason for it is the quality production. So they deserve credit for moving their sound on a la Take That and not sounding dated like the Spice Girls comeback material has.

So three cheers for the producer of the track Ian Broudie (the Lightning Seeds), who also is a very well respected producer of credible indie-Pop bands (Echo and the Bunnymen, The Pale Fountains, Shack, The Icicle Works, The Coral, The Subways, The Zutons).

as much as a like AK, that has flop written all over it. I wish Liz had just released her solo album instead of getting back together with AK.

I know what you mean because I can see it alienate a lot of their fan base who bought their third rate dross in droves, because it is too different and a step up in quality from their former records.

It is an OK cover of 'Anyone Who Had A Heart'.

However, Cilla Black Covered it. It was really a USA

Single for Dionne Warwick - Cilla just had the UK Hit

with it, when she Covered it.

LOVE IT, Lil and Tash sound amazing!
Their original songs such as "whole again" and "be with you" were their best songs. I hate the fact they have to come back with yet another cover version to add to their list.

BIG FLOP here we come! :o

Their sound was very good for the start of the decade but they won't fare very well anymore with this kinda music. It's all about the sound of Sugababes and Girls Aloud as the reformed Spice Girls and All Saints have found out...

And I love them but I don't like this song.

is this something to do with Liverpool's city of culture thing for 2008?? seeing that Ian Broudie, and cilla black are references here - all liverpudlian and - how bizarre - i think OMD were as well (the person who discovered them - that is - how bizarre )

(btw still got that cilla black - another cup of coffee dance routein thing from that bbc4 clip going round my head - maybe they should have dont that - did anyone else see it from the bad dancing show).

I heard Liz's solo version of this and it is amazing!

Disappointing, not really single material, kind of boring and doesnt really jump out at you, once again another disappointing comeback even if it is only for a tribute album. I hope they do come back with some original stuff after this.

I really like this. I still prefer the original, but to be honest, i don't think it should be released as a single. I really can't see it going top 10 how much i would like it to
