Oh no its one of the weaker songs :(

Oh no its one of the weaker songs :(

Apart from Runaway they're all pretty weak.

I dont know how much longer Cascada can keep it up. Every single song sounds the same, its getting tedious now, the album is a shambles of dated, lyrically-weak bland songs, but i do like their cover of What Hurts The Most. ^_^ The Candlelight mix of it is absolutely beautiful, Natalie has an amazing voice, she is worth so much more than this.

I bought the album today! It's pretty good but samey as others have said...Sk8er Boi was a TERRIBLE choice of song to cover though...
Heard the album today, if im honest, if you were to play the Cascada album in the background, im sure someone would think the same song had been playing for an hour lol. Its just not worth the dosh.
I can't believe they have covered Avril + Pink amongst others. Saw an advert for it on The Box and it all sounds like the same song rehashed over and over again with different lyrics like last time.

I'm downloading it atm just to torture myself a lil bit more :heehee:

Yes I saw that ad ! It was difficult trying to work out when one song finished and the other started !

I did like the last album.....and after seeing the tracklist for this one I said I wouldn't buy it....however, I did take advantage of those links. Can't comment if you've not heard the tracks !

Might as well do a quick review then:

What Hurts The Most: Great lead single, really loved the Jo O' Meara version and I think it works well as a dance song 10/10

Runaway: Another good song, like the Bad Boy of this album! I'm really liking this 9/10

Who Do You Think You Are: Perhaps not the best idea to put the EXACT same sound effect at the start of two consecutive songs...this is ok, not a favourite of mine 6/10

Because The Night: Odd choice of cover as Jan Wayne already had a big hit with it 5 years ago...It's not much different to his version but i like it as I liked Jan's version 9/10

I Will Believe It: This one doesn't stand out...not much more to say 5/10

Perfect Day: Really liking this one, very catchy chorus and a potential future single? 9/10

What Do You Want From Me: Apparently the next single...its quite a good track and one of the growers of the album 8/10

Sk8er Boi: This song should never have been made and it certainly shouldn't have been covered...awful 2/10

Could It Be You: Ooh a ballad! It's almost like they thought let's copy the exact format of the last album with a few upbeat tracks, a few covers, a few ballads and a candlelight mix on the end...its quite good actually though! 8/10

He's All That: Back to the upbeat songs now, this isn't bad but again, not overly memorable initially 7/10

Just Like A Pill: The better of the ridiculous cover version, the melody actually translates *quite* well into dance but the lyrics do not suit a dance song...I do like it though embarassingly 8/10

Endless Summer: Like I Will Believe It, this one was recorded before by the act when their name was Syria. I like the rejigged production quite a lot, much better than the original! 9/10

What Hurts The Most (Yanou's Candlelight Mix): Yanou's forte is the candlelight remix, apart from Cascada he has worked wonders on Angel City and of course DJ Sammy's Heaven. This is gorgeous 10/10

Overall: 8/10: This is a much better than expected album and at least on par with their debut which is quite surprising for something that has clearly been rushed out...a couple of tracks are bland and Sk8er Boi is awful but other than that is a great collection from the trio!

I'm sorry but its seriously beyond me how anyone can like the god damn AWFUL "Just A Pill" cover.

A song about heartache and generally a very emotional song turned into a Dance filled chav-esque pile of $h!te.

Nayyy

I've heard clips of all the songs and its just dreadful! Only "What Hurts The Most" sounds decent.

I'm dissapointed with the album, but anyway its top 15 in the midweeks, I thought after the success of the last album this would be doing better.

"why are they releasing the album before the single. The single will probably flop now, or underperform"

Trying to make sure they get their cut of the Christmas market ! As for the single....WHTM....to help increase sales is why they've decided to release two CDs. WHTM + remixes and of course WHTM + Last Christmas !

I suspect album and singles will all do well.....I only hope it doesn't encourage them to do even more covers !! It's about time they had the guts to release some original material !! From the last album I really liked Ready for Love and Another You....but they released ANED....a cover !!

I would raise the question is this really dance music ?? IMO Cascada are becoming the 'new' Vengaboys....inoffensive, cheesy, hands up Euro pop ?

In an earlier post it was asked how much longer The Cascada Project Team can continue ? Should have added, getting away with it ? I'd say 18 months at the most....perhaps enough time for another album....then of course it will be the greatest hits !! Also above it was noted that Natalie has an amazing voice...when she's of course allowed to sing live, especially as she's not the best at lip-syncing.....and I agree Natalie is worth so much more than this !!!!

I only like What Hurts the Most and Runaway. It's terrible. They're all catchy, but it's just the same formula over and over.
I think if there is an act that deserve the Cascada level of success in the Uk is Milk Inc. They have the same sound but they do original songs with interesting lyrics, and their songs are just better.

That's an incredible success for a rush released album of mostly covers by a dance act in the December sales climate
