In a message to a friend on MySpace, the pop singer reportedly said how spending time with the troubled widow made her want to check into rehabilitation herself. Love and Allen spent time together in Los Angeles in April, partying until the early hours at Hyde nightclub. According to The Sun she wrote: "I am not bfs (best friends) w/ C (Courtney) Love, one night with her made me realise why KURT (Cobain) killed himself. I nearly checked into rehab." The singer was unhappy with "catty comments" that Lily made at the event - when the pair clashed over a chair. "I saw Lily at Fuji Rocks. She gave me catty comments," Sandi told the Daily Record. "We were all outside with the Kaiser Chiefs and we ended up playing the equivalent of musical chairs as everyone tried to get a seat. I ended up in Lily's seat and she didn't seem too happy. "She did sarcastically shout: 'Oh, my God, it's Sandi Thom!' We had an evil exchange over that." However, Sandi, has insisted that she no longer wants to continue her feud with the 'Smile' singer, because she feels like she is back on the school playground. "I was going to say hello the next night but she'd locked herself in her room and didn't come out. She'd gone in a huff" Thom said. "She's slagged me off plenty but I'm older than her. I used to do that when I was 13 and in the playground. I think she thought she'd wind me up but I can't be bothered." I really like Sandi Thom's music even though that has nothing to do with it, lol, she probably wants to get a bit more attention or it's probably been put out of context again.

The pair got into a heated debate at London's Groucho Club when Lily attacked Courtney for her feud with Kelly Osbourne and Kate angrily defended her friend saying she was a "great woman". A source told Britain's Daily Star magazine: "The trouble started when the pair met at the Groucho. Lily ran up to Kate, but after chatting amiably for a while she brought up the subject of Courtney and a row that had blown up between her and Kelly Osbourne. "She was ticking Courtney off in a light-hearted manner, but you could tell Lily meant it. Kate certainly got that impression because she leapt to Courtney's defence. Kate's intensely loyal and told Lily that Courtney was a great woman. "Lily begged to differ, but luckily at that point staff noticed tempers were flaring and directed Lily and her friends to a separate lounge on a different floor." Tensions between the pair were strained again when she had to intervene to stop a fight erupting between Courtney and her friend Kelly at London's Punk club. October 5, 200717 yr Lily Allen pronounces to the paparazzi that she's no Britney Spears while out on the tiles with pal Kate Moss in London's Groucho club in Soho. Whilst out having a cheeky smoke Lily smashed her champagne glass on the ground to the joy of the paparazzi. When asked to do it again by one of the happy snappers she denied the request and said 'Do it again? I'm not Britney f*cking Spears!' Later in evening another pap asked Lily if she had seen Kate Moss smoke crack cocaine to which Lily replied: "I don't think Kate does smoke crack cocaine, 'cause if she did she wouldn’t look that hot'. Earlier Lily had performed at the nearby Studio Valbonne Club. The audience included new boyfriend Ed Simons from The Chemical Brothers.
