True, but I mean on vocal performance, Alisha did hit most of her notes this time. Shame she went - do think if Alisha does deliver in times of need, I wish the judges judged on that performance :(

I'm not really liking Hope now they're not hitting the mark, too karaoke imho :(. Hope were a complete mess on the second performance.

i nearly voted for Hope but was swayed by Leon and Niki :P i still want to see them make top 3 but they need to give the other girls a chance to sing (like girls aloud and sugababes do) and not just make 1 girl sing the whole thing.......... -_-

Tbh, I thought they sounded good (although you're right with the whole pre-recordings of there vocals, it sounded like 20 people singing together at one point :lol: ), but cant the judges see that the Uk are trying to say one thing, We already have enough groups thankyou.

I do think Alisha could've built some sort of career.

I certainly do not think Hope will win (unless Simon says otherwise) as they are simply trying to be too much like Girls Aloud and if they release they could be treading on toes in the music market which I don't think the UK market will appreciate (we currently have 2 premiere contemporary groups which cover most ground in popular music and they are Girls Aloud & the Sugababes) I don't think they will be very successful, but then again I could be proved wrong with the right type of material.

 

I can't personally see many of the finalist releasing, well to the levels of Leona et al.

Yeah! My prediction was right. Alisha and Hope bottom two and Alisha would go! Can't comment on the second performances I was watching HIGNFY - the brilliant Reginald D Hunter was on and the show was fabulous! Even Sarah Cox was funny. But even if Alisha had managed to sound like Diana Ross at her peak .... there was no way Hope were going to go (sadly ... they're there to the finish).

Just watched again the GA performance again, and at the end Sharon and Louis stood up and applauded a lot (while Dannii and Simon were still seating...)!

Sorry Mikey - just had to isolate that one bit from your post. It sums up this whole contrived show.

 

We know Hope and another act are going to be there on the final day and I just 'hope' the other act is Rhydian - because the general public will vote in tens of thousand to get Hope the hell out of here if they are up against him (if they have any sense ... or ears). The guy has hardly hit a bum note all the way through, whereas Hope have hit nothing but bum notes.

 

I hope they make this the final series and replace it with a new reality show called perhaps 'Celebrity Russian Roulette' where a naff celebrity meets with a sad demise at the end of each show! Now as Paul Daniels would say "That's ..... mmmmagic!"

I didn't see the earlier performances, only Alisha and SD and then the final showdown, so I can't comment for Hope's first performance. But on the showdown alone, Hope should have gone. Alisha wasn't great, but Hope sounded out of tune to me in a number of places. There's also the small issue that Phoebe's the only one with a good enough voice to cope at this level, the others are OK at harmonising, but when they have the odd solo line the results are generally awful.

But nice to see the public aren't buying into the show's blatant bias towards the group, surely Simon must realise soon that SD are his best chance in this competition?
