Lily Allen to become Dr Who's Assistant?

 

Lily Allen is reportedly in talks to become Dr Who’s assistant on famous TV series.

 

The BBC are understood to be keen to build a long term relationship with the singer after they unveiled last week that she would front a new social-networking inspired TV series for the corporation.

 

According to a ‘source’ for the show, producers want Allen to take over the role from comedienne Catherine Tate.

 

“Lily is multi-talented. She comes from more of a TV background than a musical one. After the chat show we hope she’ll take over from Catherine as Dr Who’s assistant. We’ve talked to her and she was excited by the idea.”

 

Should Allen land the role, the Sun says that she may well accompany the infamous Rhys Ifans – who is being considered as the new Doctor.
