Boy Next Door

Bout

No More

Each didn't perform well but do you reckon any deserved to :o

I think maybe Bout, it was stupid to release it before all of the TY tracks that actually got released.

"Bout" is hot, but not single material. Very silly for a comeback single too.

"No More" isn't single material either, but I think it should have reached top 20 at least.

"Boy Next Door" didn't deserve to flop, but it was at the end of 'Drama' and received very little promotion...kinda like "No More".

No More was fantastic; sure she's been over-reliant on sampling recently, but she did to great effect and added a nice new side to Golden Brown.

I love "Bout".

Does anyone have the instrumental to that one?

I really like all three songs.

I think when it comes to singles, she always releases a broad range of styles from mainstream [superstar] to the more raw stuff [bout] - it's easy to see why they chose to release them imo.

I honestly believe none of them should have flopped

I never really got the fuss about that either tbh, although it is a good song

I think the hype definately helped  She was huge at the time possibly the biggest UK female of 2004 either her or Natasha Bedingfield anyway.

It was her, I think. I saw it on a chart a few years ago. Natasha was quite high too.

That was when Jamelia was on fire. There was no stopping this diva.

I miss that era. :(

I wish I followed it so much more at the time  I loved her loads then but it was only october last year when I began to watch her like a hawk :arrr:

In 2004 I was wrapped up in Anastacia, Brandy & Kelis

I pretty much started to really support her when "Bout" dropped.

I liked her a lot before that and bought all of her stuff, but then she went off to have a child and that was it. Back in those days, it was hard to keep up with what an artist was up to. So, when I saw that she was releasing "Bout", I was shocked and became more & more interested in her.

Thats really cool :o I probably wouldn't have remembered her well, I find it harder to support someone loads on their first album.
