did you find a replacement video yet, her ridiculous record company are still banning all trace of her from youtube until she is predictably listed in the 'sounds of 2009' lists next month

No, not yet  I must definitely work on getting one that they can't find :o

I honestly thought exactly the same at one time, and was disgusted when people even suggested I listened to male artists...but it's really shocking how much my tastes changed in recent times :o

you ignored music for 7 years :o  I didn't get properly into music until 1998 (thank you Cher's Believe :heehee:) but some of my favourite songs come from well before that period  it's always fun to discover classic old songs for the first time

It is odd how things can change like that. I don't think I could see myself like male vocals as much as a female's. I mean, I like them both but there's something about a female voice that I prefer and I don't know what it is.

Yeah I did, it seems so odd but I used to go through phases. In 1996 I got into the Spice Girls and that was pretty much the only band I listened to. Then from 1999-2000 I listened to the charts and bought cassettes so I'm quite familiar with most songs from that era. But after that I didn't really listen to music until 'Bleeding Love' last year so from 2001-late 2007 I mostly know the big hits that were everywhere or music from artists I have since bothered to obtain. I can't imagine that ever happening again.

S&M Tour Kicks off In Rontvia

After a relaxing day visiting the Loose Lingerie studios Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Margaret Berger today turned their world tour up a gear with the show of their lives. FSR Rontvia marks the start of the final leg of the girls' tour as tomorrow, they head to BuzzJack's most successful nation, Mdice, before arriving in Ashton for the final of both 'The Rejects' and the 'Best of BuzzJack Song Contests: I-X'. Rontvia is undoubtedly the most respected nation in the BuzzJack World and one of the greatest supporters of new music in the contests. With 7 top ten finishes, Rontvians know good music when they hear it and so the S&M tour had to go one step further to impress them. Sophie Ellis-Bextor kicked off the concert with her crowd-pleaser 'If I Can't Dance'. Margaret Berger's first song of the night was the beautiful 'Were you Worth My Tears?'. Next came the classics, Sophie Ellis-Bextor performed which shot her to fame - 'If This Ain't Love', meanwhile Margaret Berger sang her first song from 'Pretty Scary Silver Fairy', 'Samantha'. Sophie's final song of the evening is the first of the Kingdom of Shadow's entries that will be going head-to-head with Rontvia's Heroen Mira Craig, 'Heartbreak make Me A Dancer' is competing for the title of best non-qualifier, up against the infamous 'Headhunted'. The final performance of the evening will be competing against Rontvia's Mira & Maria, Sara Bareilles, Sanna Nielson and Untouched in the Best of contest, Margaret's song won BJSC IX and here it is this evening - 'Will You Remember Me Tomorrow?'

wow, thank god for Leona then :o

I wouldn't say I like male vocals as much as females, I do still listen more to female artists on the whole, I suppose because there aren't that many male vocalists doing pop music...

I'm not really a fan of rock, which is a male dominated genre

after one day :o as soon as I heard it back in May I reserved Maria for the next contest, but waited to reserve Mine All Mine as my song choice until I'd realised that it was the best song on the album...other favourites of mine are Never Let Go, Love Come Walking In and Find Your Way Soon

I love all three of those songs

Hold On Be Strong is also

I quite like The Hurting Kind ^_^

Hold On Be Strong is of course stunning and the song that introduced me to the great Maria, in fact - it's my favourite Eurovision song of all time already
i love the live performance she did where Mira came on stage and they dueted and then sang Mine All Mine

Yes!!!

i would have loved to be there

They so should try to crack the uk as a double act

Mine All Mine is a hit single waiting to happen but I don't think they'd ever come over here with it so it will be one of those 'lost classics'...I can't see this 60's soul revival sound lasting for much longer anyway...
  • Author
I can just imagine it being a big hit on commercial radio, alas it will never get the chance  it's not even on UK iTunes...
This is your best entry. Easily imo. ;o Frankmusik / Vincent duet ftw?
